Re: What has The Guz been up to? Big Brakes & Coatings
Guz, said it on our sister site and will say it again: Thank you very much for taking the time to do this as well as create this thread/post. Car looks fantastic...MAJOR difference in panel/paint clarity after the denim pads. MOST impressive.
Again, thank you and your car looks great! (brakes were a bonus and a cool upgrade!)

I'd be scared to use denim pads but since I brought it up, how does one determine IF & WHEN they should be used

I would only use it for a repaint. I wouldn't touch OEM paint with them. My bad about the Kia comment. I was looking at your previous post at the time I responded to you lol.

Gear driven is lovely. No worries about pad stall. Focus on paint, instead.
Yeah yeah, you will get passed the "oddities" of the flex.

Have you tried the mille? Since it spins clockwise?
I really think if i buy a new expensive machine it will be cordless though. Like the C-Beast or a free spinning DA.
Rupes is a rather odd company it seems, not sure if they are working on a cordless machine. I just used the rupes white foam however, its a decent pad. Still prefer the orange SDO, i might pick up the black SDO next year.

Honestly, the spin never bothered me.
Having two 3401s, I didn't see a need to try a Mille. Might be smoother, maybe, but I have been plenty happy with the 3401, and now the XCE
