Easily could have put higher up and ran it directional. Also it’s not the best looking vent and lastly although functional was it really needed in that car...

I agree. And it wouldn’t be nearly so bad if they didn’t decide to make it chrome to call attention to itself.

I think its more of a part of the air curtain to aid with air flow

Vent could be placed different and engineered for same results. And difference would be negligible on that horse power and brake combo in my opinion

I'm with you - not a fan of chrome for those vents. BMW did that on some of their cars too and (to me) it works to cheapen the look of the car.
