Helping people see at night.....Rover Eyes inside

Cleaned up a set of Range Rover Headlights for a fellow Racing Team Member last night who needed his daily driver fixed up a bit. These are off a 2009 with over 130k miles on it. Overall they weren't horrible but crazing on the tops was certainly there. Sanding helps reduce the appearance of the road-rash they had taken over the years too.

Good news is Eric approached having them corrected sooner rather than later. The reason being is once they begin to craze like this, damage goes deep into the lens and once too bad, they become irreparable.

Thanks to Eric for his trust in my work. I'm very appreciative of it and happy to help where I can.

    Enjoy doing headlights!

What were the steps used to get those looking that good?

I do. Easy money really. These weren't bad at all. Just needed to lightly sand with 1000 grit then 3000. In this case not just to remove the crazed layer that was beginning to appear on the top of them but also to help reduce the sandblasting / road rash they have built up over 130k miles. Not perfect in that sense but much better. I'm always Leary about going "too far" in terms of shaving off material.

I then polish them back with a two-step product mix that I have purchased elsewhere. Finally, I seal them up with two layers as per the instructions on Meguire's Spray on Headlight coating. 1 Can does 2 sets for about $10. Works great and lasts.
