1938 Bentley 4-1/4 liter Derby museum prep

Had the privilege of working on this 1938 Bentley 4.25 liter Derby.
This was a very extensive job, as the car is set to be on display at the LeMay automotive museum in Tacoma, Washington next month. Over 60 hours were spent on multi step paint correction and hand wax on the single stage lacquer paint, full interior detail, and engine bay detail. Also detailed the boot, and pulled the wheels to machine polish and wax the wheel covers, remove the waxy mold release agent from the tires, and clean the wheel wells and some of the suspension components.
Used all Wolfgang products on the paint, with Flex 3401/ Flex 3” da, and Rupes Ibrid nano with lake country pads, and an array of my go to products and tools on other areas of the vehicle
The car looks amazing, you’d never know it gets driven frequently, including a road trip from Oregon to California, and back.
I absolutely love what I do, especially when I’m working on such an amazing part of automotive history.
This elegant machine is another great part of @hauglandcollection

    Thanks Scott.
This was a long one. There were even leather covers on the leaf springs that had to be cleaned and conditioned. I will drop
some 50/50, and work in progress shots in the thread later.

I will be spending most of August prepping cars for the LeMay automotive museum Master Collector exhibit. One of my clients was chosen to have some of his collection displayed there starting in September. Next up for prep, a 50s Abarth 750 double bubble.
I am truly living my dreams!

    Wow.

    Incredible car. Awesome job, man.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Amazing. Does it take a good bend to reach the shifter from normal seating position?

I’m not sure. It looks like it would be. I had the owner place it where it was going to be worked on, and it wasn’t moved until it was finished. He showed me how to start it, but I chose to do a waterless wash, so I wouldn’t have to.
