Re: 2020 BMW M340i - CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 and Gliss

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I really appreciate it.

I didn't mention it in the OP but the CQ UK 3.0 looks like water in the bottle but felt more like honey during application, Gliss was very forgiving to apply and remove.

Haven't decided how I'm going to maintain it yet. My wash is Meg's D111 and I wasn't planning on changing that. The CQ came with a small bottle of Reload so I have that in my back pocket. Any other suggestions?

The white car has Polish Angel Cosmic V2 on it, applied last July. It's still there to a degree but it has definitely been running out of steam faster than I think it should've. In the next couple of months it'll probably be time for something else.

CarPro Reset for bucket wash, ECH20 for rinseless and ECH20/Reload (Merlin mix detailer).
The GUZ convinced me with his comments and reviews to order some Elixir to try out.
Well actually I ordered 2 liters so I guess I will be using Elixir as a drying aid for awhile.

I started using Meguiars Hyper-wash for the regular bucket washes and foam cannon duties.

I don't know about 110 degrees but it's still decent.

    Nice work!

Two things I'm a big fan of...

    1) Quality microfiber towels Blend: 80/20 Gsm: 320 with a short nap and longer nap sides, make a big difference for coating removal for high spots.
Also, a sad but true note, mf towels I use to remove the ceramic coating I throw away after the job. It's not worth the risk to reuse them.

    2) Good lighting! I'm a big fan of the ScanGrip MultiMatch 3 or ScanGrip MultiMatch 8 (if you have the room) and a ScanGrip Sunmatch 3.
Even then, I pull it out in the direct sunlight (direct sunshine, no clouds) and check for high spots. it can be a little tough but it's easier before it cures.

    Again,Nice Work!

Beautiful work! You have another vehicle at your disposal to do sitting next to it...

Saw it posted on Bimmerpost as well.

    Thanks. Tough crowd over there.

The X5 has Polish Angel Cosmic V2 on it. It has slowly been degrading so I'd imagine it will be time for something else in another 2-3 months.

    Thanks, guys!

I just washed the car for the first time today following the coatings. Some wind and rain blew buds from a nearby tree all over the car. Easiest wash I've ever done. Starting with the wheels, the pressure washer cleaned them completely and the beading was beautiful. The finish of the car cleaned up very easily and this is the most effective my Metrovac Master Blaster has ever been.
