    2020 GT350R...Hammered!

    2020 Ford Mustang GT350R
    Shadow black
    5.2 liter V8, manual trans
    527HP/429TQ
    0-60 3.7sec
    180MPH top speed
    515 miles

New client of mine. He just received delivery of this vehicle. It had the DISO installed…one of the better jobs I’ve seen…LOL. The whole vehicle was a mess. Swirl city. Heavier scratches, dull lifeless paint due to so many defects. Thin spots/burn spots where someone attempted to correct some heavier defects in the driver’s front fender. A total shame for a brand new vehicle to be delivered in this condition.

    The ‘details’:

    Blackfire foam shampoo.
    Medium clay mitt.
    McKee’s 37 iron remover.
    Adam’s tire and wheel cleaner.
    Misc. brushes, mitts, etc.
    DeFelsko PTG.
    Flex 3401
    Flex XFE15—until backing plate broke.
    Rupes Mark III 21
    Misc. foam pads.
    Griot’s fast correcting cream.
    Griot’s perfecting cream.
    Adam's Revive hand polish.
    Optimum panel wipe
    22ple Mistico Elemento Forte.
    22ple VM1.
    McKee’s37 APC.
    McKee’s37 high gloss tire dressing.
    SCG Pro glass cleaner.
    Metro vacuum.
    Scangrip lighting.
    Ranger quick jack.

    Thin/burnt area:

    Swirl/scratch city:

    Wheels...dusted!

    Initial hit:

    Getting there!

    Black is beautiful again, Scotty!!

Man, just shows all of us how even a 2020 paint job can become so messed up with bad (horrible) techniques.

Awesome work as always, Liver Neck.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Ok. As you know I have a legit mancrush on you!!! I’m speechless as to the overall condition of that car. Your turnaround, reminds me of the 2006 Playboy where Stacey Dash(pre political crap) posed nude at 40. Just delightful!!!! But, tell me about the backing plate, and the dealership’s response, if there was one

Thanks Pauly...and my shoes fell off!

Billy, you are my hero! I laugh at your posts!!! So good!! And thanks for the 'info' to google! LOL

The screws pulled out of one of the holes in the backing plate...noticed it while doing on of the horizontal panels that I was getting a 'wobble/something wasn't right with the machine' and saw that the backing plate was pulling off of the machine. Switched machines, ordered 2 more w/free shipping today, and will replace it when I receive them this week.

Dealer said..negative ghost rider, we aren't going to do anything about it. Done. (Client purchased it from an out of state dealer) What sucked is he had them install his $3000 stripe job on top of all that mess...and it was a PIA trying to correct (as best I could) in between them without messing them up.

All in all...I can't wait for him to see it tomorrow!

Good to know on the backing plate. Lately the XFE15 is my go to for everything. I have my 2 Boss machines that will get put on the a Mobile trailer. The reason is reliability, and ease of repair/warranty. The only Rupes that I own is a rotary. I love that thing, and when I go to Renny’s class in April I really want to learn how to master it. If not there, I am 1:45 away from a Jason Rose class in Denver. For the record, Stacey Dash was my #1 for years... Until Kate Beckinsale...

Those above the door handle shots were horrid. Incredible save Scott.
