    2015 Silverado 1-Step Correction

A friend of mine asked me to revive the paint on his black 2015 Silverado. The truck really could have used a 2-step process to get some of the deeper scratches out, but he wanted to keep it budget friendly since it was only his daily driver. I did a 1-step correction and sealant application. Steps were as follows

Strip wash using Adam's Strip Wash
-Clay using Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay
-1-step correction using a Flex 3401 with LC Orange Hybrid Force and Sonax EX 04-06
-Sealed with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

Customer said it looks better than when he bought it new, so I'm happy with it.

Nice recovery. Have you given any thought on using a light ceramic coating. Just as easy as applying a sealant with 2-3 times the protection.

Nice up sell for a few bucks more. After deducting the cost of the sealant, your cost for a light coating should't be more than 5-7 bucks.

    Thanks.

I actually do have a bottle of PBL Diamond Surface Coating that I haven't used yet. I guess I'm still skeptical of the durability of a spray on ceramic. What product do you use for a light ceramic?

I like CQuartz lite. Comes in a 150ml bottle that will do 5-6 mid sized cars.

Interesting, I use CQuartz UK 3.0 for my 2 year coating, so CQuartz Lite would fit right in line with my current coating options.

Got some pictures of the truck today when I left work in the sun since it was cloudy the other day.

What was your invested time from getting the truck wet to last wipe of sealant?

Bravo! That's a major improvement and save! Looks like before, it seen the swirl-o-matic car washes for most of its life.

You are correct. It has pretty much seen automatic washes for it's entire life. I'm trying to sway him from doing that in the future
