Re: Porsche Cayman GTS
As always BEAUTIFUL Work! That Cayman GTS ROCKS! BTW, Porsche has realized it may have made an error in changing the Cayman/Boxster to Turbo 4's. They are now bringing back the Flat 6 in them for Model year 2020 and beyond. No one wants to pay $75,000 - $100,000 + for a Turbo 4 Subie sounding engine in a Porsche.
Subie's OWN that market and they Rock! The Cayman/Boxster needs the Flat 6 Back. Oh well, enough of my info. As always Scott You ROCK in the Detailing!
KEEP ON ROCKING!

As of now, looks like they're keeping the T4 in the base & S Cayman/Boxster and go back to the NA6 in the GTS 4.0 & GT4/Spyder models.
PDK rumored to be coming at some point in GTS 4.0 & GT4/Spyder. A GTS 4.0 w a PDK would be *very* intriguing and although it'll likely be approaching GT4 money, likely a better all around use case. Gonna be an interesting next 12-18 months...
Seeing the above white GTS makes me wonder if white would be a viable option; think white is tough to keep clean?

Re: Porsche Cayman GTS
Thanks all! Yes, I agree, I like the flat 6...the sound, history/heritage/etc. But, those darn EPA/CAFE numbers need to be met and that's how they are going to do it...turbo a 4, get better power all the way around and meet the required Govt restrictions.
I've driving a new 718 Boxster S and was really surprised at the power it made! It did sound like a Subaru though!
Budget: I believe it is just as difficult to keep 'clean' as any other vehicle...however, it will 'show' dirt/stains a bit easier, IMO.

Nice job Scott..what does this statement mean? "Adam’s UV Paint Coating. (came in very hand on a white car!)"

White can look so classy when done right, just look above
Guess Agate Gray Metallic will continue to be my choice...no more black for me.
I'm guessing the new 4.0 NA6 will actually not be that much faster than the T4, if at all...and the T4 is preferred by many as its TQ is avaliable in a more frequently useable point (lower) in the power band.
The NA6 just seems to have a character I enjoy, even if ya gotta rev the snot out of it to find the 'goodness'. I'd like a chance to build 'my' perfect Cayman so hopefully the knuckleheads in Stuttgart will allow that for us common folk without all the allocation nonsense that often accompanies some of their more popular models.
Not having keyless entry and start on our current Cayman irritates me to no end, excaberated by the ignition switch being to the left if the steering wheel; I just never seem to get in the car with the key in my convenient (left) hand...just cant get used to that.

^^^^LOL, I know what you mean about the ignition! Hahaha.
Thanks! Agate Grey is one of my favs!
Rs: Coatings can be difficult to see when applying on a light colored vehicle IMO. With the UV dye and UV light it made it much easier to see where it was applied/evenness/high/low spots/etc. Worked very well.

Gee, I wonder why those dealer washes are free???
Awesome save from those, Scott. Car looks mint now.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Yeah, they wash the car and throw in the scratches for free.
Kinda like the old Earl Schieb joke ... "At Earl Scheib we'll paint any car for $49.95. Leave the windows down and we'll do the interior for free !"
P.S. - Very nice job as always, Scott. Especially those taillight lenses ... did you use both Griot's creams on them or what ?
