"Sale Prep" on a Ram 1500

I just finished up with my latest job this past weekend with my new detailing business. Customer wanted a "sale prep" package, so I gave him an AiO polish, basic interior detail (no steamer or extractor use), and an engine bay detail.

Customer was happy and the truck turned out great. Definitely doesn't look like it has 200k miles.

Looks great, what was your process on the headliner?

    Nice.

This is what I classify as,

Production Detailing = One step process to the paint

I guess we could call it,

    Daily Driver Detailing

It covers the entire car, inside and out but it's the opposite of,

Show Car Detailing = Multiple step procedures to the paint.

What I've seen over the years is when new guys/girls get into detailing they "tend" to try to do show car detailing to every car they detail and make no profit. Everyone, newbies and pros alike need to have a "package" for every customer and every car.

    Thanks for sharing.

Billy, the headliner was actually a very quick and easy process. I spot sprayed it with Folex (first time I had used that product), agitated with a soft drill brush, and wiped dry with a terry cloth. The stains were gone in less than 20 seconds.

I agree Mike. This customer would not have gone for $1000+ job on a truck he was getting ready to sell because it would have taken away from his bottom line more when he sold. However, he was very happy with the outcome that we got with the BF one-step and the stain removal inside. Between the BF and the contamination I got off with the clay bar, the truck literally changed to a brighter shade of white.

Nice work. I woulda guessed that headliner was done.

Tip for when your looking for a new car. Let it get a little dusty/dirty if your trading it in. Dealers know your looking to buy and get top dollar for your trade when your shopping with a freshly detail car.

You want them to think that you stopped buy on a whim because then the gotta “close” you. You’ll end up with a better deal.

Also don’t trade in how that ram was looking. What was done was spot on. Wait a week and your good

He's not trading it in. He's doing a private sell, so he wanted it to be as perfect as possible. Thanks for the tips though.

Yeah make sense. Would want it pristine private sale. Should be no problem way it looks now. I use to work for a dealership and when a detail car came in the managers would know the were here to buy.
