    1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2

    1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2

This amazing Ferrari 330GT came in for some work.

Performed a thorough hand wash, clayed paint, did a conservative paint correction (no compound, due to the condition of the paint), and applied two coats of Fuzion wax.

Owner was hoping for ceramic coating, but we opted for wax, due to the fragile/compromised areas of paint.

Also detailed the engine bay, interior, and trunk.

Pulled, cleaned, and hand polished the original borrani wire wheels as well. Over 60 hours went into the car, and it showed.

The owner was thrilled. I feel extremely lucky to have been able to have this car trusted to my care.

Thank you! This was a tricky one. It was repainted in the past, and it was not documented. I got
Paint thickness readings that varied from less than 10 mils, to over 50. There were also areas of very dry spray, and burn through on some edges from someone buffing it before my client acquired it.
It is not a concours level car, but a very good driver quality car. It just didn’t “pop” before. Even though I was very conservative with how it was detailed, it now has that “pop”. The owner was extremely pleased with the results.
Sometimes, it’s not about getting them flawless.

Incredible car and just as incredible detailed detailing work.

    Nice job.

I would definitely consider this a "Bucket List Detail"

    Thanks Mike!
It was truly an honor to work on this car. A bit nerve racking, but a privilege as well. I will post some pics later of the previous condition of the wheels, leather, and the pile of parts I removed to get access to everything I could.
It has taken time to make the necessary connections, and gain the confidence of the people in this market, as Eugene, Oregon is not as large as some of the bigger cities in the country, but I get to work on some amazing vehicles.
    I am extremely fortunate.

Here are a few pics of work in progress. The first picture was how I rewarded myself after the job was done.

Wow! What an amazing job on a beautiful car.

Of the 60 hours spent on the entire vehicle were 30 on those wheels? I don't know if I'd have the patience to polish them out to the level they deserve.

Good guess! It was somewhere between 25 and 30 hours on the wheels. There was a matching spare in the trunk too. It was tedious, but well worth the time.
