Re: ‘75 Mazda RX3 Coupe.
I sent this link to my buddy with the 79' RX-7! You did an amazing job on that RX3 and I heard how popular rotories are in your part of the world, it's not like they're rusting out, LOL!

Fantastic job! A very cool car and it looks like it just rolled out the door of the factory.
The whole car is in fantastic condition, but what really stood out to me was the leather on the seat bolsters. Is that original? If so, it doesn't seem to show any aging at all!

Great work on an awesome car Aaryn! Write up and pictures is awesome done!
The sounds from the wankel is amazing. And what a great condition this RX3 is in.
Did understand wrong or do you also have a new build RX3?

Love 70’s JDM cars. Glad people in the IS are starting to look pass the datsuns and nissans.
Great job on a beautiful car

Thanks mate, yes, I do feel pretty spoilt with a lot of the vehicles I work with.

Mate, as soon as I opened the door & sat in it, it had the same smell as my one . . .

Yes, damn I’m sorry man, I was going to get some pictures of the RE Reunion from down here for you. I feel bad now. I’ll see if I can put something together. This RX3 was heading down to an event called Chrome - Expression Session & it draws a good crowd of all sorts of cars.
Indeed, us Kiwis are Rotary crazy, actually we’re just plain car crazy.

Yeah crazy huh! Interior is all original, never been messed with. I love how earlier cars seem to wear so much better than vehicles nowadays. Glass is another this that stands out for me, old glass appears clearer than new cars now. Great little car & an enjoyable detail.

The Racing Beat! I remember Mazda marketing it as that. Very unique sound, very similar to a two stroke. (also something I am very found of)
Yeah, I guess it’s some time ago now . . . 2004 I sold my one but the Rotary buzz was still in me & I had an FDS3 that was slightly modified - Enkei Racing Alloys, Ohlins adjustable suspension, MazdaSpeed brakes, Knightsport racing computer, HKS Intercooler, HKS Intake, HKS exhaust system plus so much more I could remember with a bit more time. Was 468rwhp @21psi boost but was silly quick for the road.
I like the character of old cars a little more so than Speed these days . . . I like to ROLL a window down too . ..

Same here. The JDM following is real strong down here, Mazda Rotaries, Misti GTO’s, Datsun 1200, 1500, 1600, 180B, 120Y, 240, 260Z’s, Skylines, Toyota Celicas etc etc, they all are very popular here. Pretty cool cars.
