Awesome as always. Got a heated garage? What temps are you working with this detail given the winter period.
Side note: are Subaru engines reliable? I know they use boxer engines but have heard a lot of issues down the line.

From the ownership experience of an older Outback a few years ago and my son-in-laws current Forrester, they love to go through head gaskets. From my research even those Subi owners who love them are resigned to this issue. Depending on where you live, parts can be more expensive than other Japanese brands and nearly as expensive as the Germans.
I don't know if they have changed the design (highly doubtful), but the 4-cyclinder engines are NOT non-interference. I found this out the hard way when the timing belt tentioner on our Outback failed while my daughter was driving the car. The engine quickly ate itself as she coasted off the to the side of the interstate.

Thanks man. Getting off topic we're on the market for next car and was thinking of the Forester or the new Santa Fe. This engine issue is the one making me think twice of choosing Subaru.

Yes seems like most of them are hit or miss and the main reason why for I’m opting for a Lexus.

Yes. Heated and hot/cold water when needed too. When working I like to keep the temp at about 60-65* as anything more is too warm. It's a very well insulated garage.
