SWEET!!! Another great job, Dan.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

IME most cleaning products seem a bit harsh on that MB Tech [fake leather] and therefore don’t do so well. I have however found I get great results by using Megs D180 Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. Gives the MB Tech much needed moisture and darkens it while providing the right amount of cleaning power.

Thanks for the response so far.
To be I’m honest: I learned a new term today.
MB Tech.
PHEW! And I thought I was the only one here having issues with them.
Eldorado2k, thank you for the recommendation.
But I would like to hear more about this MB Tech.
Is this the material I can expect to find on the seats, the doors (like above), or both?
When I used Griots Garage Leather 3-in-1 I used it gently and sparingly on the seats little by little.
When I test spot Meguiar’s APC 1:10 on the doors, of based on my past experience I learnt to spray into a towel first then wipe. Unlike my Honda where I can spray APC directly in the surface without problems.
What other findings are people experiencing with MB Tech?

Now that I think about it, I think the proper spelling is MB Tex or M-Tex... It’s early so I could be wrong but oh well. Lol.
Yes, it’s the material that feels about as soft as cardboard that covers the seats and tricks some people into thinking it must be leather because there’s no way they would possibly use such cheap feeling material in a Benz if wasn’t... But it actually is fake leather.lol.
Well maybe I’m being a bit harsh, but really I’m not and that’s just my honest opinion of not only the fake leather that’s used in Mercedes, but all German vehicles including BMW, Volkswagen, etc. They all have the same coarse and dry look & feel to it.
When it comes to the Griots 3 in 1, you say you used a little at a time? I use the Megs D180 very liberally, you almost have to because that material is so dry and needs moisture so bad that it just soaks it up like it’s dying of thirst. But once it gets it the results are excellent. I just squeeze a good size blob on either a terry or microfiber applicator and rub it in. [I never wipe off any excess, but at the same time I don’t leave any excess]
IME using Megs APC to try and clean those seats isn’t the same as it is with typical leather, pleather, or vinyl surfaces. Try cleaning those seats with Megs D181 Leather Cleaner and you just about cringe because it feels like you’re killing the seats! Lol. It’s so dry and the best word I can use to describe it is “offensive”
IIRC the actual Mercedes owners manual says to not use “leather cleaners” on their M-Tex.... Go figure.
