2000 Pontiac Firebird corrected a bit...

This was a 2000 Firebird, black...customer wanted a 1 step "correction" and "waxed". This was about 80-90 % after Menz HCC 400, orange hybrid pad and Flex 3401 with about 5-6 passes at 1" per second arm speed:

When i was younger that was the first "sports car" i fell in love with. Always impressed by how well Menzerna 400 corrects and finishes down. I really need to add that to my collection. Great work on a great car!

Thank you, gentlemen. There are lots of flowing, curvy body lines on these and you need to "flow" and "curve" the pad and machine to work them. Customer loved it. It was fun!

Re: 2000 Pontiac Firebird corrected a bit...

I tried 3 test spots on this before settling on that combo (Menz 400/LC orange hybrid pad). I found this black paint to be on the harder side of the scale.

Because Menz 400 finishes down so nice, i tried it with a white pad as 1 of my tests. That didn't give me enough aggression to level down scratches i knew 400 could rid. The orange hybrid pad gave me a little more bite. I sacrificed risking a hazier finish with orange pad but removing most of the defects vs. the white pad not cutting enough but leaving a clearer finish down.

I LOVE Menzerna and its almost infinite work time.

A 2 stage correction would have been perfection but the customer wasn't paying for that.
