    Clearing Old Stock: 2015 Challenger

This gentleman had come to see me about 2 years ago when I was working on an Alfa Romeo. He was so impressed that he decided right there that I was the guy he was going to bring his 3 cars to. He ended up having a heart attack but has recovered and was now ready to have the first one done: a 2015 white Dodge Challenger. I had 2 unopened bottles of regular CQuartz and I had priced them to move. He took advantage of that deal. Smart guy and helped him to afford having all 3 done.

Not only was he kind enough that he's bringing me 3 cars, here's another goody he had waiting for me...God bless him!

Here it is as it arrived:

The wheels were not going to get coated as I usually do b/c he's going to have them painted gloss black and then I'll coat them the appropriate time afterward. I was in for a one step polish, but it is a daily driver and ended up needed 2 steps to the hood and deck lid and a few other small places. He came over to witness the difference and then advised to go ahead and do both steps where needed. Here is a few examples of areas that needed it:

The 2 step process was Flex 3401 + black 3D wool + M100. The follow up step and what the rest of the car got for a one step was a yellow B/S pad + 3401 + a mixture of M205 + DG squeaky clean. The tires were dressed with Opti Bond. The wheels got nothing other than a cleaning. The paint was coated (as well as the stripes) with CQuartz regular. The trim was done with DLux. I forgot what a pain this was to work with compare with my Feynlab coatings. It was given a final UWW wipe down prior to delivery. Here it is all done, inside shots and out.

Unfortunately it had been raining for 2 days so it was very cloudy outside. Bummer...I really was hoping for some sun shots!!

    Thanks for looking!

Nice work, Richy, I'm laughing about the cigars--I'm guessing you Canadians can get Cuban cigars...I still don't think we can get them here, but who knows with our on-again, off-again Cuban relations...

No Cubans here yet. :-(. Nice work and enjoy those fine cigars!
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

No, they've always been legal here. I tend not to smoke the Cubans as they are priced higher and don't seem worth it to me. Besides, it's not like they're forbidden fruit!

Richie, the Challenger came out fantastic. Not sure what’s more exciting, the finish product of the Challenger or the Cigars....lol.

Glad to see you posting again my friend.

    LOVE it, Rich!!

I really like those retro AAR stripes. Very cool!
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
