Irradiating an Iridiam Blue Red Sport 400

So a fellow Q50 forum member that bought his Red Sport 400 the same week I did mine finally brought his over to get detailed and coated. Along with the car that has his winter wheels and tires on it, he brought over his new summer wheels that are awaiting the Pilot Super Sport 4s's and some warm weather.

He had it through a few tunnel washes which did most of the damage to the front and rear clips but did swirl up the entire car lightly. We decided the best long-term option was to ceramic coat the summer wheels and proceed witha light polish with Meg's Ultimate Polish. With this he also upgraded to include 2 coats of McKee's 37 v2 SiO2 based ceramic coating on both the paint and the corresponding McKee's glass coating for all the windows. I love how dark metallic colors really POP! and darken up increasing their depth when coated.

Weather today isn't great for pics so here are some preliminarily ones for now. I'll be dynomatting and soundproofing the trunk as I did mine to remove a slight low-tone noise from the exhaust upgrade. After that I hope the sun will be out for some better daytime shots.

22ple VM1 Extreme Rim and Metal Coating

You always do such great work, and I love the Q50S.. actually I've been looking at a Q60S for a while, the new ones are super nice.

How do you like the 22ple Rim coating?

I have the same car and color and am waiting for the weather to improve more before giving it a polish. Did you get those results with Ultimate Polish or with m205?

Ultimate Polish this time. Have some left and don't want it to go to waste. Just be sure if you use it before coating a vehicle that you give it a wipe down with Eraser or something simliar to prep it for the coating. I perform that step regardless as a prep and way to remove all dust, etc.

Thank you sir. The coupes are sexy for sure. The Rim coating is great. Is it worth what they sell if for? Time will tell as there it's a longevity thing IMO. Works extremely well as I have mine coated and even after a week of driving in light rain, my wheels actually look great still.

Thanks for the quick response. I have ultimate Polish and M205, plus blackfire polish (from a couple recent samples). I was thinking I would go with M205. My car is in very good shape and I figure a polish at that level will take out any of the light defects I have. Glad to here UP worked well. I was curious also because it seems you prefer Essence for polishing.

I do like essence but again, given I have lots of megs left, i wanted to use it.
