    VW Golf Pre-Sale Detail

    Hi everyone
I've been in the background on the forum for a long time and thought I'd get involved.
I'm Richard, a detailer over in the UK. I get to work on a a lot of nice cars, some grubby ones too

I thought this might be a studio first, but it seems it's the third.
Vauxhall Signum - brought in for a good refresh and strong protection.
The owner adores the car and was keen to have the paintwork restored.
He was worried about inflicting damage when washing the car after the treatment so opted for Ceramic Pro 9H, a 5 year ceramic coating with super-hydrophobic proprieties and great scratch resistance.

    The order of the detail;

    Full safe wash and decontamination,
Major Enhancement Detail - 2 stage machine polish,
    Ceramic Pro Nano Polish,
    Ceramic Pro 9H coating,
    Ceramic Pro Light coating,
Ceramic Pro Rain on exterior glass,
Ceramic Pro Wheel & Caliper for the wheel faces.

    On arrival.

    A cold and dark wash.

The Snap On van showed up to give us a glimpse of what was in store.

After the safe wash and decontamination - tar removed, iron fall out removed - clay bar and a final panel wipe, the car was masked off and ready for polishing.

All photos after the cutting stage - still to be refined further.

After the cutting stage, the car looked like this - clear enough but a bit hazy.

So we then refine to leave a clearer, glossier finish.

The paint is primed for the coating with Ceramic Pro Nano Polish, then Ceramic Pro 9H & Light are applied.

    Wheel faced ceramic coated.

Found some wind deflectors in the boot so these were coated and fitted.

Nice correction! That black paint was swirled out pretty bad.

Isn't that a Vauxhall Astra hatchback? That's a Vauxhall logo on the grill. As a GTI owner, I can tell that certainly isn't a Golf, but since I haven't lived in the UK since 2003 I'm not up on the Vauxhall/Opel line any more.

Thanks for the good feedback guys.
The car is a Vauxhall Signum. I have no idea how the title changed to a Golf

    Thanks
The polishing work was done using Rupes machines, Royal Pads and Koch Chemmie polishes.
