NBS Monte Carlo SS Detail (lots of pics)
This car was purchased at a cheap price b/c it was full of cat hair and other crud, had some nasty chrome rims, ugly vinyl stripes down the side, and other stuff. My buddy bought it b/c he saw past all this stuff and he got a diamond!! Got it at a cheap price. Just needed cleaned up, new shocks, struts, brakes, and wheels/tires. He did all the hard work after he bought it with 84K and cleaned up the interior crud and cat hair. When he removed the vinyl stripes it left outlines of the stripes, not faded lines from the sun but lines of the sticky backer of the vinyl and dirt that had built up along the edge. It wouldnt come off with standard cleaners so i had to use 3M adhesive remover. Has 101K on it now. If you would see it before i got it you still wouldnt believe it has 101K, you DEFINITELY wouldnt believe it has 101K on it now. If he wouldve let me correct it, you wouldve thought the car was new, or better! He could make 2-3 X's the money he spent on this car if he would sell it now.

Wow! Nice find for your friend. That looks awesome with just a cleanup and wax. It would kill me not to machine that Torch Red paint but I get it.

Very nice work. Lots of great photos.
What did you use to clean the under hood black sound deadening fabric? That made a huge difference!

Thanks! if it was my car, i would DEFINITELY be doing it!!!!!!!! That sucker would be shining like crazy!!!! Its a DD during the winter for his wife as his wife has a Saturn Sky for the summer and he drives this during the summer instead of his truck. Im guessing at some point he will.

Thanks a lot!
ARO and a hose on the material under the hood. Im guessing it still wasnt completely dry, which is why it looks perfect. I tried a small spot with a soft brush and it started to destroy the material so i only hosed it. No, the large hole in the middle is not the area i tried, lmao!!! But just the hose and ARO did get a lot off, i saw the dark colored water running off of it.
