    1994 caprice classic polished

I worked on a 1994 caprice classic today. I did a paint correction for a customer that just bought the car to flip. He just wanted a wash and wax but a suggested that i could do a paint correction on it and it would look new again. He was not sure what i was talked about i did a small test spot on the top of the door by the roof and he agreed to let me correct the paint. This car was so rough the clay bar would hardly slid on the paint.

    washed
    clayed
    compound m100 orange pad
    polished m205 white pad
    powerlock sealent
    meguiars tire foam

Good flip! I'm sure he will get a little more for it now. Nice work!

Is there any money in flipping cars as a detailer? I kinda figured no unless you can actually do body and or engine work

All I can think of is the expression, "Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone!" I hope the owner did not pay much for it. In the 90's GM was making some of the world's ugliest cars and a top executive even admitted it publicly.

In any case you did a really nice job with the beast. It would have been hard for me to find the enthusiasm to take on the job.

Dude. That's great. The difference between the first two pics is night and day. Actually a cool color after all that work.

I will detail anything they bring me, i try not look at what they bring me is a wast of their money. He did not pay very much for the car. I did a interior job one time on a small car that the back seat was taken out and half the trim was gone i detailed it anyway. I wish i could pick and choose but it dose not work let that.

My father had a 1992 caprice. His only complaint was cleaning those hubcaps. granted this was back in the late 90's when he had this trouble and neither he or the car are still with us, but what did you use to clean those caps? the car looks awesome and brought back some good memories for me.
