I am going totally touchless. I will use Gyeon Wet Coat or McKees Hydro Blue every other month. If there are bird droppings or other spots, I will carefully wipe just that spot with my best towel and some waterless wash. Better to have a few dirt spots than a bunch of swirls from wiping it constantly, whether washing or using detail spray/waterless/rinseless.
if the car has light dust then a touchless wash can be done but over time when driving and it accumulates debris/contamination/grime/film you'll have to physically touch the car with a wash mitt/sponge/towels to remove it...

I was thinking the same, I wouldn't be so afraid of touching it as long as you have plenty of good clean towels. It's not that delicate
I am a pro detailer, so i have plenty of the best towels. I use the best products. I agree there will have to be some rubbing. I am just going to try to NOT wipe it down with detail spray, waterless wash, etc. nearly as often as I did in the first year I've owned this car.
