Thanks a lot man! I agree, UC is an amazing product with really long work times too!

Thanks man! I'm just not sure if MF pads work on the Flex due to the forced rotation!

The diminishing compounds are great especially if a single step is realistic.
But on hard paint you often need a second step anyway so may as well get the work done quick then finish quickly with the foam pad thereafter..

IME trying to get foam to correct on very hard paint is just slow going , overworks the pads and demands regular pad change which slows it all down even more..

    Anyhow good results.. Nice one!
I completely agree! I just don't see myself ever picking up a rotary lol. Just don't have the guts to try it, especially since I do this as a hobby

    Thanks!

Thanks man! I'm not really sure, it can range from anywhere between $90 (full job lol) to close to 2-3000$ with good coatings, and then you have the ridiculous ones who charge 6-7000$ with their 30 step decontamination, 10 step correction BS.

Its the $90 full job that got me started in the first place. I got the car back in one day, looked decent. Once the D151 wore off, Holograms everywhere! I thought the interior was nice, but now I know better. They just sprayed some sticky crap everywhere. This is the same detailer who lists finishing with a DA on his page, but clearly that doesn't apply to the $90 groupon lol.

Great job! Did you go straight from Meguiar's Ultimate Compound to the Collinite 845 without a polishing step? If so, wow, the UC finished nicely

Yup i did, the paint was very very hard so UC finished down very very nice, even with an Orange cutting pad!

I did the same on my Gf's Honda pilot. However, that car was thrashed! Although, I did that car with a White Polishing Pad.
