  1. Re: Worst Case scenario for Brake Dust! Need Advice

    Great post Eldo!!
    Now I need some.
I always forget about your epic BR post.

    Was the BR full strength?
And how does it work on tires?
  2. Re: Worst Case scenario for Brake Dust! Need Advice

I would grab some Meguiars Hot Rims all wheel and tire cleaner locally and go from there.
The stuff is so cheap and pretty good you will be able to assess the situation better.

    If you want to go...

Re: Wow! Still on the road!

In the 90s the young lady I worked with bought a purple convertible 5 speed manual Metro.

I taught her how to do reverse donuts in the snow.
The next year at Halloween she showed up to work...

    Re: Ceramic Coating Product recommendations

I dug around and couldn't find anything on opened bottle shelf life.

For me a bottle would sit for at least 2 years before the last drop was used.

What's the feel like or the drag on the rag?

I am caught off guard by this.
Where does it fall on the chart between CQUK3 feel and Gliss feel.

Would it patch in trouble spots without a...

Is there a better bang for your buck than CQuartz UK3?

Let me know, I will buy it.....maybe.

We should have a 30ml coating wortha holler under $60.00 category...and I only buy when on...

    Re: My new Autogeek G9!

    Now I see it.
I didn't notice the sand mortar lines were still OSB, I thought it was paint.

That is the best looking chip board, un-freaking believable.
    What tape did you use?
So paint the wall first with mortar line color then roll the red color.

You guys are crazy, but dam it looks...

Sounds interesting. I read some quick reviews but I trust your opinion more.
I would imagine we don't hear much about it since it isn't sold here.

    Re: 3401/pad?/compound?

No doubt Menzerna 400 or Meguiars 101.
I also tried Meguiars Ultimate compound. Microfibers turned out to be the wrong thing for me on the Flex.

I used them 1 other time when my brother got down...

    Re: 3401/pad?/compound?

I did try the Microfiber pads on my Flex but no bueno.
They take quite a bit of muscle to guide along to avoid getting bouncy. I wasn't patient enough to deal with the needy fiber upkeep between...
  17. Re: How long does a Graphene coating stay slick?

    Thank you all.
I did notice the BX (consumer style) is a helluva more slick than the maintenance coating.
At this point, whats done is done and wish I could say money well spent.

    Re: 3401/pad?/compound?

I am not a fan of microfiberr pads. They probably work great on my PC but never bothered because Flex3401 rules.
When I have stubborn spots I go for a TufBuf black wool and M100. I start slow speed...

    Thanks Mike.
I was hoping you and Budget would sound off. Your real world assessments led me to use it on my wheels.

  20. How long does a Graphene coating stay slick?

What wash mitts do you use?

I use the Griots Chenille wash pads. Depending on how dirty the car is I use up to 8. Rinse and wring them out then wash in machine.

Re: What coating is tough and hydrophobic?

CQuartz UK 3.0 yes and CarPro Gliss V2.

There are better products than waxes for protection. I haven't used any of the new Meguiars products and honestly don't have the need.

Re: What coating is tough and hydrophobic?

So far CQUK 3 and Gliss have worked the best at releasing dirt in Wisconsin winter.
We have sand/brine and salt mixes here that turn into a gem of a road film.

I believe it helps the winter nasty...

Feit makes ballast bypass LEDs to retro t8/t12 lights. They work great.
