    Re: New to ceramic coating.

    Welcome to the forum.

The Meguiar's hybrid ceramic spray detailer works well over a coating. If you want to stay within the IGL family then get some Premier and use that.

    Two products that...

  3. Re: Wait time after PPF application for Ceramic Coating?

FYI Gtechniq Halo is gas permeable just like their paint coatings. You would be fine using it right away. I did PPF on my handlamps and used cquartz skin right after installation. No issues doing...

Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Yeah itís not as good as the last version. It seems to last longer if more layers are applied after a few washes. That is what I did and it seems to last longer.

    Itís rather disappointing how...
  6. Re: Can anyone post before and after pics of black leather after cleaned?

Nope. Iíve gone away from leather coatings on my personal cars. Colourlock seems to do a better job of hydrating older leather. It may not last as long as a leather coating but thatís ok.

Colourlock for me for leather. APC's are not used on any interior in my case.

  10. Coating levelling - possible to remove too much?

It has a 1 year shelf life once opened. Carpro confirmed this.

Not a good idea to use IPA on a freshly applied coating. Itís not cured and any chemicals introduced to early will degrade itís...

    Re: getting ready to coat

Carpro recommends two layers of UK and 1 layer of Gliss.

Wait time between coats of UK is 45 min to 1 hour. Gliss needs a minimum of 4 hours before it can be layered over a Cquartz coating.

  12. Re: Coating levelling - possible to remove too much?

Lite is tacky upon removal. It also has a 1 year life span within the bottle. After that it starts to harden up.

You got good information. Once you get it on the paint you will enjoy itís...

    Re: Question on new paint

You can use any wash that is not a wash & wax version.

These two products are fresh paint safe. Used them on my car that was repainted and the paint is still on the car years later.

  16. Re: New product idea? Thick, temporary paint protection that is very easy to apply and remove

Nothing wrong with leaving the paint unprotected until you coat it. The paint is not going to fall off.

    Re: Been thinking to much

No need to use all of these silica products.

Have to agree here. Polishing will get the best look.

Too much silica is not good. It will tend to mute the base layer.

That is good news. Just go over the area with a quick zip with no pressure on your final pass. It can sometimes get a bit hard to wipe off on the edges of your work space size.
