Re: Coating levelling - possible to remove too much?

Sounds the same as the DLux I have from Carpro. The polycone cap seals better, IMO:

Re: Coating levelling - possible to remove too much?

Skip...I have had good luck so far storing my unused ceramic coating in the refrigerator in a dark opaque bottle with a poly cone cap. been in there 18 months, and just took it out 2 weeks ago to...
  5. Re: Jeep Wrangler Hard Top with Carpro DLux Longevity Test

    Update:

    11/23/2020 (hah, remembered this time).

Rained last night. I had QD'd the top about 6 days ago, with Mckee's N-914 (like this on my coated cars, since there are no added toppers). Also...

I use these to fix my daughters' iphone screens, which seem to automatically crack after a few months...man, the screws are microscopic.

Big thanks for this...good to know the stalling issue. I'll have to come up with a better solution.

  10. Re: Any way to run 2 Inch or 1 Inch pads on a 7424?

    Ty...hadn't seen the tippy.

But I still have no ideas on getting a smaller than 3 inch backing plate on it, which I have already, and don't have much of an issue with the tipping phenomenon.

  11. Any way to run 2 Inch or 1 Inch pads on a 7424?

    Hey all...

Looking to see if I can run smaller pads on my 7424. Currently have it running 3 inch pads, since I have a larger RO for the big surfaces, but it would be real helpful to convert to...

Did you mean mineral oil, or mineral spirits?

These are not the wedges that I had gotten. These seem to be almost like close cell sponges. Mine were different.

I meant a joke by having the six month photos dated correctly, so everyone would do the math and see that I had it on for NEGATIVE six months.
I see how my sentence could be read wrong, though.

Re: Make Up Pads for applying Coatings to Wheels?

    Great answers, guys. Very helpful.

I do have the wedges, but find that they start getting real grabby as soon as the coating gets used up.

    Other ideas are awesome...TY!

Make Up Pads for applying Coatings to Wheels?

    Hi all,

The set of wheels on one of my cars has a pattern which doesn't lend themselves to applying a wheel coating with a normal applicator.
