    Re: Tungsten ceramic coating

Never heard of it. But these days almost anyone has a ceramic coating. I personally would stick to a reputable name brand coating.
  3. Re: Brand New Car, want a ceramic coating on it (I think). Which one?

Don't buy into those long claims. If you are in a harsh condition, expect to be repolishing and reapplying in the spring as harsh conditions take a toll on a coating.

Can you apply a coating to...

Re: Rupes LHR15 no longer working?

Did you at least call customer service? Or just made the decision based on what you did searching?
  5. Re: How to wash black rims with clad coat on them?

I don't know how much space you have between your rotors and wheels but the microfiber madness incredi brush or wheel woolies might be a good option for the inner barrels. I use the autofiber wheel...

Re: 11 year Anniversary at Autogeek

Congrats Mike. This is quite an accomplishment. Here is too many more years at Autogeek.
  7. Re: How to wash black rims with clad coat on them?

The downside to black wheels is that they show everything just like black paint. I use to own black wheels and even the softest brush would swirl them over time. I found myself polishing them at...
  8. Re: Need some guidance on what steps to take to bring my car's black paint to life or put in the best condition possible

You are going to have to test spot to see what you really need to do. 3D one is a versatile product and its cut and finish are pad dependent. So give that a go first.

    What coating are you...
  9. Re: Can I Get Some Quick Guidance With My New CarPro Products?

In this thread you mentioned you did not prep wipe the surface. It would not surprise me if this is coming back to haunt you.

  10. Re: Can I Get Some Quick Guidance With My New CarPro Products?

I would not bother with spotless. If you have fresh water spots then it works. But anything older than a week or two and it won't do anything. Its been a constant miss for me as has Optimum MDR. ...
  11. Re: Yellow Stain on white coated paint. How to remove?

Hard to see anything in this photo. If you have opticoat and you clay or polish, you will void the warranty. You will not have access to opticoat. Now if it is Gloss Coat anyone can use that.

  12. Re: Should I be looking at a sealant, wax, or coating for PPF? I don't want to have to polish off in the future.

I forgot Gyeon makes a full line dedicated to PPF.

Re: Prepping Paint for Gyeon CanCoat

The prep stages prior to polishing will degrade it enough to where Primer Polish on a polishing pad will remove KAIO. An APC like Optimum Power Clean should clean up the trim to where you can coat...

    Re: Gyeon can coat prep

I double coat about every coating I use.

Meguiar’s has many polishes so anything such as ultimate polish, M205, M210 will work. Just be sure to prep wipe prior to the coating application.

    Re: Gyeon can coat prep

Polish, prep wipe (CarPro Eraser. Gyeon Prep, etc..), double coat of cancoat 1 hour apart.

Do you have any other polishes?

They have explained this many times on here and over on autopia. It is there internal system and it’s not set up for that. You can ask them the details on it. I vaguely remember myself.

Re: Gyeon CanCoat vs Gyeon Trim

Most trim coatings are about the same. They all have similar characteristics and performance. Off the top of my head I have tried CarPro DLUX, Gyeon Trim, Gtechniq C4, Adams Trim and I go right...

Re: Gyeon CanCoat vs Gyeon Trim

Q2 Trim looks better and performs better on trim than CanCoat. CanCoat is a great product though and you will be happy with it.

  25. Re: I tried IGL Renew F4 for the first time today

Yes that is it’s main purpose. It’s their version of Essence Plus.

If you listen closely Brian says it is abrasive which it is not. Any cut will be from a pad.

    I contacted IGL directly...
