  1. Re: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating as Booster??

I originally had some shotty performance with WG CSC after applying in cooler temperatures for a few times... but it did last pretty well. Behavior just wasn’t great up front.

    After more recently...

Re: Newbie question on ceramic coating?

All the non-scratched paint will allow proper bonding. The small percentage of paint where there is actual scratch, I would imagine if there is still BC or CC paint left then the coating would maybe...

Re: Newbie question on ceramic coating?

Yes you can apply a coating to a prepared surface with any number of scratches.

By “touch up” do you mean with paint / Dr. Color Chip or something? Or do you just mean that the car would have...

  5. Re: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Coating as Booster??

I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

I recall you are/were a Premiere and VS1 fan. I currently have VS1 and WG CSC going head to head on my front roof (ok, so it’s a very small area), and...
  6. Re: Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Detail Spray Review

Nice review. I had a little bit of streaking until the second wipe with a dry towel, but not sure that counts as streaking.

I didn’t notice any positive or negative aspects of slickness.
  7. Review: Pinnacle Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner

Update 8/10/20 (almost 6 weeks overall; 1 month since last update)

Wife started going to the office 2-3 times a week for a few weeks now. 20miles each way, highway driving. I think two of those...

    Re: Polish Angel Gurus...

I see, I assume it’s not being driven during icebreaker season, i.e. winter main. If it won’t be driven this winter much, I would think you could hold out until next spring or use on another...

Where are you located again? Is the car a dd? Garaged at all? You don’t have Cosmic Spritz, correct?
  10. Re: Review: Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Detail Spray

PROFI, of course. WG Ceramic Spray Coating and SiO2 Paint Sealant, I would imagine so. I don’t think the WG folks would be mean enough to make it incompatible with their other SiO2...

    Re: Best Dash Cams?

Would love to hear some if the top overall choices. Was just thinking about this last week. COVID-lifestyle is the only thing unprecedented... people’s driving seems as bad as I ever recall.

Re: Review: DP Need for Bead

Probably worth it for you to give it a try. I doubt I’ll be able to give any longevity information as I’ll keep using drying aids on this car for the next few weeks before doing a full correction. ...
  16. Re: Does everyone really need a $100+ DA buffer?

^^Agree, if you could find a GG6 somehow that would be great. Otherwise I assume the G9 is comparable. Griots is good enough for my personal care. Maybe someday I’ll get a Flex but that would be...
  17. Re: Does everyone really need a $100+ DA buffer?

Simple answer: yes. It’s one of the items you will never regret if you take detailing serious in any way.

    Re: CSL or Cosmic V2

Compliments from regular earthlings can be the ultimate “justifier” for a car looking great. My wife told me that a guy with his family passing us at very slow speed “stared shamelessly” yesterday...

Re: Review: DP Need for Bead

Ok, so I did notice some dust accumulation over the course of my wife driving 40 miles a day to work. The car otherwise sat outside for the few days. Dust accumulation was more plentiful than my X5...

    Re: Wolfgang Uber SIO2 spray...

I’m sorry, that’s quite the surprise. Is it a black hood, was it pretty hot out?

Actually, why I didn’t just think of this, but it has to be applied very sparingly. I’d suggest maybe trying it...

Re: Is this normal for a new tire?

I’ve not seen that, but new tires do funky things and I generally don’t apply anything to them for the first few months or couple thousand miles for that purpose. But never recall seeing things like...

    Re: Wolfgang Uber SIO2 spray...

From my experience with Pinnacle Crystal SiO2 Spray, a comparable item, it’s a wipe on, let dry/haze, then wipe the haze off. Similar to a lot of traditional spray waxes.

    I assume though you are...

    Re: CSL or Cosmic V2

Yep, totally understand. I wasn’t suggesting you buy the Arts, just letting you know in case you did already own some. Rapidwaxx has a very smooth, pleasing look.
