Re: hd poxy vrs jescar power lock.

Powerlock is super slick, durable (~5-6 months for me) and very shiny.

Poxy is one of the better looking liquid sealant/waxes, extreme gloss and reflections, but I would apply every two months.

Ask Budget over on Autopia since Kamikaze is openly discussed over there. :props:

    Re: Black Label Surface Coating

Agreed/Confirmation that PBL coatings stay good for quite some time (2 years and counting for my wheel and glass coatings).
  5. Re: Struggling with Product Selection After Ceramic Coating

Do you guys think Ech2o noticeably changes the look of your coating for a day or more? I was using it on my wife’s car but she thought I was applying new stuff each time, so I stopped using my Ech2o...

Re: Mystery gift Labor Day 2019

For the free gifts these days, the total needs to be at/above the amount after coupons are applied (unlike free shipping). With that said, I would think $149.99 is close enough to get you the...

    Re: BF One Step Topper?

To my knowledge, you provided the Wet Fire Over Ice with that combo, as I believe One Step has identical sealant in it as BF Sealant. Good thinkin!
  8. Re: Struggling with Product Selection After Ceramic Coating

My bad, I read another post about abrasives and lost track.

Re: MK360 or HDSpeed on 19 Black Silverado

I have to say, I believe M37 360 has fantastic protection and longevity for an AIO. Hands down, this would be my choice given the protection criteria you want, even though I like Speed a bit more...

Re: DG AW vs. UQW Showdown (as toppers)

Update 9/6/19: Added coat number 3 of each, because I wanted to wash the car and didn’t want to be bored while drying. Will probably add a fourth and final coat of each to finish my UQW bottle. ...
  11. Re: Is Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance the best wax / sealant in the world?

Your assumption above is correct... there’s nothing wrong, maybe just time and resources, but given your situation and the amount of “wasted” activities I do to my own cars, I wouldn’t feel ashamed...
  12. Re: Struggling with Product Selection After Ceramic Coating

I’m not seeing any description about abrasives, I thought this was a pure glaze, not even a pre-wax cleaner. I could be wrong though as I’ve never used it.

    Re: Hydro Blue Full Strength

WG SiO2 WW or PBL SiO2 Detail Spray would be another new option for you.
  14. Re: Meguiar's Water Spot Remover Is It Just a Polish/Abrasive (downside it removes sealant?)

Subscribed. I just got a nasty water spot and would like to see any responses.

Re: SCRATCH X 2.0 AND DA polisher

Scratch-X has abrasives and definitely removes clearcoat/swirls with a DA. Almost as good as Ultimate Compound I gather, but finished better, probably good enough with orange pads that I didn’t need...
  16. Re: Is Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance the best wax / sealant in the world?

915 when including value probably is the best all around wax ever, IMO. When not taking probably car into account, it’s still up there in my tops, but I’d have to think deeper about where it ranks...

Re: Need help with Polish Angel

^^I should have mentioned, a baggie test should determine whether claying is needed.

Re: Need help with Polish Angel

I’m not sure of your exact paint condition... I would still recommend doing a test spot. It’s possible that the Primer alone will leave a finish you’re happy with, even after claybar (not sure if...

Re: Need help with Polish Angel

I’ll let Custmsprty speak for himself, but his paint was brand new, and Invincible Primer (polish, not spray) can indeed lightly polish brand new or great condition paint.

    Re: Hydro Blue Full Strength

Since Meguiar HCW came out, I’ve wondered whether applying Hydro Blue as a dry WOWO would at the very least lay a base coat down that could benefit the future spray and rinse applications (longevity,...

Re: Collinite 845 and Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

Thanks Tony. Sounds like it’s not the best idea to assume Cosmic Spritz and Cosmic Spraycoat are the same thing. I was hoping maybe I could expect crazy longevity of my Cosmic Spritz by only adding...

Re: Need help with Polish Angel

Start with LC white. Always try least aggressive first and go more aggressive from there. Make sure you have at least 6 pads of whatever you go with and change them out every 1/6th of the car so...

Re: Need help with Polish Angel

Good plan, and a good habit for polishing is to always do test spots first. Try different pads with PA Polish first. That includes light cutting (like Lake Country Orange) if a polishing pad isn’t...

Re: Collinite 845 and Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

Re: Need help with Polish Angel

Skip the Dawn. I wouldn’t bother ever using it on your car. Use glossless, normal car wash.

My understanding of PA Ultra Red is that it removes old waxes, grime, etc. This will do the work of...
