    Re: Ik Foamer 2+

I have a Riyobi tire inflator from Home Depot which was under$100 I think. It works great. I have it all charged up to inflate my tires after this cold weekend

    Tire Dressing

VRP has done nothing but go prematurely dull on me when dry (few days) and washes easily away in the slightest rain. Not my favorite dressing. Maybe itís the tires Iím applying it to.

    Not at all

I have a lighted magnifier for such purposes.

    Automotive International teaches its use.

    Re: Inside Griot's Garage

Yeah, Iím surprised he didnít use multiple mitts. I use about 5 per car. The thing that has me sold on this wash method that Iíve been doing for so long is that the foam gun allows for a constant...

    Re: Inside Griot's Garage

Regarding the Griotís foam gun: if you mean the basic one I think that retails for around $40, I picked up a clone of it for $20 from Harbor Freight to use as a back up

    It works well but youíre...

    Re: Inside Griot's Garage

When the weather gets warmer and you can use a hose, I would invest in a foam gun and multiple mitts and begin learning the extreme wash method. Iíd also change shampoos. GC never cut it for me. ...

    Re: Silver vs White

It might depend on where the vehicle will be spending most of its time. Here in Florida white cars are popular due to the heat. Itís funny, I have one white car that I rarely drive so that benefit...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I just use 303 on the interior and under the hood so it lasts a little while.

I also use it on the tires of my Cadillac but that car doesn't see rain.
  18. Re: Has anyone taken creases out of leather seats?

IIRC I didn't put the bag over my seats. Maybe that's why they came out well

I think XLR leather is different from my old school leather as well. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it
  19. Re: Has anyone taken wrinkles out of leather seats?

The steaming kinda reminds me of steaming shirts

I would practice on a junk seat from the junk yard before doing my own seats.

Sometimes oldies but goodies are among the best bet and thatís why I still use Souveran on both my black and white garage queens.
