Re: Anyone in Tampa do PPF removal?

Heat gun didn't work on the adhesive very well. Tried that with 3M adhesive remover. I've done many ppf/decal removals over the years but nothing like this!

I need something who knows this stuff...

Anyone in Tampa do PPF removal?

I tried to do it today and failed miserably! I'm looking to pay someone to do it right. 2015 Toyota Highlander. Front 1/3 of hood and side mirrors.

Anybody topped HD Speed with Coll 845?

Recently I've had a few AIO jobs and still like HD Speed for those. I have another one tmrw and would like to extend the durability a bit and am considering topping Speed with Collonite 845.

    I...

    Magnifying Glass for defects...

Some may laugh but I've been served well by using a magnifying glass to inspect some paint defects. It doesn't happen too often but it's proven useful to determine several things e.g. depth of...

    Re: Ceramic light coatings

My problem with Can Coat is i can't use the whole bottle before the 3 supplied sprayers go t**s up. Tried everything from storing in water after use to sucking acetone through them.

    I do simply...

Re: Quick/easy way to strip waxes and sealants

Don't forget that your pads load up with residue when cutting off a previous LSP. I always use more pads when trying to cut off previous sealants and especially coatings.

A lot of times there are...

    GTechnik Halo

Has anyone tried GTechnik Halo flexible coating on tire sidewalls? I'm current using OPT Tire Coating on customers that pay for it but am a huge GTechnik fan.

    Re: Nanoskin Wash Mitt; Fail

I tried 3 different clay "alternative" mitts and have reverted back to clay. I've never had one perform as good as clay.
  15. Re: Why do you use the brands you do, & not others??

I use about 21 different "brands" of products and most of those haven't changed over the past 5-7 years. I use, and then reorder, what works best for me in my business.

    I've been doing this for...

    More uses for my blower...

I have expanded the use of my blower to more than blow drying after my washes.

I have always loved it for wheels, tires, wheelwells and sills but have found it very useful for drying rubber floor...

    Re: IPA wipe in advance

A wash would be your best bet but if your soap leaves anything behind another panel wipe would be recommended.

    Re: IPA before ceramic coating.

^this. I'm a huge fan of staying in the family, especially with the coating product's own panel wipe.

    What coating are you using?
