Re: I thought "Thin was in".... Maybe not?

    Absolutely.

And a second thin coat is great, just for the reasons you stated.

I was just trying to alleviate your fears of applying it "too thin". :)

Re: I thought "Thin was in".... Maybe not?

No advantage in applying any wax or sealant thickly.

    Just a waste of product.

How much of the product that adheres to the paint will not change, thick or thin.

    Only the amount wasted onto...

Re: Drying aids comparable to Duragloss 951 ?

Oh, great. I guess I'll have to buy this as well. Bringing my total of these products to around a bakers dozen. Lol

Re: How to avoid germs - Gas Station

I'm thinking it's one of two things, Mike.

    A) The drugs do not work as well as they thought. Or:

    B) They DID work, but the announcement would cause a HUGE demand. One they probably could not...

Re: Drying aids comparable to Duragloss 951 ?

AquaWax is my go-to for drying as well.

I find that the Bead Maker is just a tad streaky when used for a drying aid, but nothing terrible. (I just had to walk around the truck and hit those spots...

Re: Donít try this at home!

I hope you electrified that fence.

Jesus, what a total D-bag that guy is.
  8. If you are sidelined by Covid-19, what are you doing to keep busy besides detailing?

    Me?

    * Painted our bathroom a color that only my wife likes, and picked out. :/

    * Raked out every inch of fence line, (even under the bushes) that I have always thought "I have to do that one...

    Re: need help

I posted something similar a few days (weeks)? ago. I don't know, I'm old now, Lol.

But I remember back when I was insane about my brand new truck, and washing all that pollen off on a nice...
  10. Re: Good polish and compound combo other than Meguiar's

I have never had to follow up either FCC, or CC.

But to be fair, I have only had to use the FCC on a family member's and a friends vehicle.

One was horrible (work truck) and he didn't want it...

    Re: COVID-19 Update

Thank you for the post, Meghan.

As a customer though, allow me put my own spin on it:

AG is experiencing the same hardships as the rest of the country.

If you have a problem with delayed...

    ^^What Mike said^^

But also remember that fighting pollen is an uphill battle in the Spring.

    Work smartly.

I remember that article well, Mike.

Like I said above, I need to get my butt in gear and grab some.

    LMAO!!

    That was priceless!

Thanks for that, and for taking the time to set it up. :)
  17. Re: Good polish and compound combo other than Meguiar's

    Another vote for GG Creams.

My cousin recently sold his work truck. It was pretty hammered, but he asked if I could "do anything to make it look a little better".

Only about 2 hours with FCC,...

  19. Re: Constant battle against tar spots on doors.. sealants not working. any tips?

    OMG!!

Seems you didn't notice the long line of 3M products in the AG store. As I have come to understand it over the years, only LINES of products not carried by AG are not allowed to be...
  20. Re: Constant battle against tar spots on doors.. sealants not working. any tips?

    Same product.

I have never tried Tar-X, but that is only because the 3M works that well.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Yeah, I think "interesting" may not be the right word. But I don't have a replacement word.

Most Americans can survive a week or two without working, but some can't. I'm already seeing the...

    What an idiot.

This is just me, but I would walk up and explain just how bad he is damaging the paint.

    He's already disgruntled. Lol
