Re: Silly question LC polishing pads

I had an AIO job this morning and I use more pads than normal cus I work AIO's "wet", i.e. use use more product than compounds or polishes. I get saturation quicker on AIO's. Get plenty of pads.

  5. Re: Question for anyone who's used both CSL & EVO V4, but on their own

I've never applied GTech CSl or EXO in temps under 80. Last app was 92 degrees. No issues.

Re: Silly question LC polishing pads

No such thing as a silly question here, twouvakind, and that is still a good one. When you think of shelling out $7-$10 a piece then use maybe as much as a dozen (or more) different pads on a job...
  7. Re: Question for anyone who's used both CSL & EVO V4, but on their own

I've used both CSL and EXO v.4. They are EXCELLENT coatings. I followed the package directions and applied EXO immediately after the CSL app. No problems.

    Superb hydrophobicity and dirt/water...

Maybe "sticky" Mike's post above in the Detailing 101 subforum.
  9. Re: Take Me To Paint And Body Work School/What's Next?

I'm not a Painter or expert but I've always had hit it or miss luck with contacting the mftr. In this case, the paint manufacturer.

    Re: Micro scratches on interior

I have 1" pads I use for both ext tight areas AND interior trim. I was doing interior scratches by hand before and that's certainly doable. Interior trim has always seemed "softer" to correct so...

  14. Re: 1st time machine compounding, a bit disappointed

Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 400 is absolutely phenomenal. I use it often and I continue to be amazed at how well it cuts nasties but finishes so we'll.

I've tried all 3 Menz compounds and 400 is...

  16. Re: Getting that "Itch" to try something different!

    I love those "moments"!!!

Many times those moments are after trying something new. I like to maintain a very progressive approach and try new products all the time. It's a fast moving business. ...

Re: Can we cut the SiO2 coating nonsense out?

I have a claimed 2 year durable coating on my car. It won't last more than 1 year as I'll do at least an annual cut and buff on it and reapply something. That's ok with me because I know it will...
