  1. Re: Meguiars apc, carpet & lingering smell (from the cleaner)

I once had a Bissell but it was a piece of junk. I had to throw it out.

    Re: Leaky 303 sprayer

At least they're sending new ones. That's pretty good CS

    Re: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

    Happy Thanksgiving to all!
  5. Re: Can anyone post before and after pics of black leather after cleaned?

Be sure to see my PM for more leather info.
  6. Re: Can anyone post before and after pics of black leather after cleaned?

    Wouldn't surprise me
  7. Re: Can anyone post before and after pics of black leather after cleaned?

I don't have black leather but that white layer concerns me. I strictly use dedicated leather products:cleaners and conditioners on leather and never had a problem. FWIW I use Leather Master products.

Re: What's the last form of exercise you've done?

Although I am not a runner I continue to walk four miles every other day. At least it gets me out of the house and I’m not putting on any pounds.

Re: Dealers “man with a towel” got me!

Always good to get it in writing! I insist on it too.
  10. Re: Any recommendations on a cordless blow dryer?

With the way that I wash I never have to worry about contamination once I get to the drying step. Everything is flushed away.
  11. Re: Any recommendations on a cordless blow dryer?

I'm surprised you don't use PFMs for drying;they're that great
  12. Re: Any recommendations on a cordless blow dryer?

I use a Griot's PFM towel most of the time instead of a blower. It's more convenient for me and it's the best drying towel I've EVER used. In fact, I'll go on to say it's the best detailing product...
  13. Re: How many mitts needed for a 1 bucket wash? Any better washing methods?

Wash often, as in at least once a week, and dirt build up that you will have to deal with first will be at a minimum. I don't remember the last time I had to wash using a pressure washer.

Re: The simplest thing can gain a customer.

This not only goes for pro detailers but for other kinds of pros as well.

For example, I need a tree surgeon and if the first one I call doesn't answer, I'm going to keep going down my list until...
  15. Re: How to keep fabric top clean between washings

I'm away from home now so I can't take a pic. My lint roller is many years old so I hope it is still available for purchase

EDIT: I see Chewy sells a similar Evercare lint roller. Glad to see...
  16. Re: How to keep fabric top clean between washings

I use a monster sized lint roller on a pole that I got at Bed Bath and Beyond
  17. Re: What are those speckles/pinholes on my paint surface

I have a head set similar to that but never looked at my car's surface with it. Thanks for the warning !

    Re: 12V Battery problems

I feel your pain about batteries. They only last two years down here and I'm going to have to replace the ones in two of my cars coming up. A Battery Tender only helps for so long.

Re: Winter Prep Question for you all

My understanding is there would be no need for a product like Iron X if you're doing an ABC wash because step A and B would be doing the same job as it. I have the gallons of A, B,and C and they...

Re: Winter Prep Question for you all

I've gotten away without claying for a long time with doing a Valugard ABC three step wash. It sure saves having to polish and wear away your clear.

Re: Winter Prep Question for you all

Remember to do the baggie test to determine if you need to clay. If it passes, no need to clay. Sometimes you can get away a long time without needing to clay. It's not a mandatory thing by any means.

    Re: Overspray removal

It was mostly paint with some textured plastic lowers. It took a long time and I admit I may have just got lucky.

    Re: Overspray removal

Clay worked for me. Just be prepared to take a while to do it.
  24. Re: What is your general rule for when you polish (not compound) your car?~~~

Polish your car only when it needs it. You can delay having to polish your car indefinitely by learning proper, safe wash techniques. The less the paint is touched and the safer it is when done so...

Re: Proper way to clean gauge cluster plastic?

I use a Swiffer on a handle on my engine compartment and I never have to do anything else to it other than dress it
