Re: #&$#@& high spots in coating

I’d suggest using something like Essence by hand to remove it or lighten the high spots. Residue easily transfers to random area if not wiped methodically and your towels aren’t changed out enough....

    Re: I did a thing

Good for you Monica. I almost sold my Sti a couple of years ago to a close friend for almost what I paid for it new. My wife kinda talked me out of it though. At this point in my life with 3 young...

I’m not exactly sure. Going with my close friend who is like my brother to visit his brother. I am planning on being in NY for about 2 weeks.

    Re: Meeting Fellow Forum Member

This is great! I have been apart of a few “detail meet ups” here in the SF Bay Area and have made some very good friends. I also got to hang out with Aaryn NZ at Detail Fest a few years back. This...

    Looks great!
  9. Re: What is your favorite microfiber towel for waterless MAINTENANCE wash?

My go to is usually a EE from TRC. But I will damn near any MF I have when doing a waterless. My process when doing waterless is I use one side of the towel per swipe. Go through more MF’s this way,...

Re: Best Carnauba wax for shine/gloss red car !

^^^^ Orange Crush is awesome on red! But in all honesty, the majority of your shine will come from machine polishing. The wax is just the finishing touch.
  11. Re: Fully Detailed Vehicle But Defects Remain...Need Advice

Lots of helpful info here. I will say that what you used basically just removed the road film. If you want to get rid of the swirls and marring I’d recommend the Meg’s MF cutting discs with D300 for...

Re: The beauty and the beast

I give everyone Kudos that live in areas with snow. I don’t know if I’d give up on keeping my cars looking good.

^^^^ Agreed. Next time I go to Florida, touring Scott’s will be on my list of places to see!
  14. Re: Is CarPro Hydro2Foam as great as it looks?

Lots of streaks. Same as with Hydro2 if it dries. Especially on glass. If you’re wanting to use it for its protection, then yes you can wash first then foam it down and then rinse off. I’d suggest...
  15. Re: Is CarPro Hydro2Foam as great as it looks?

It really is a great product. Legit protection, good lubricity, decent cleaning power. But Do NOT let it dry. Work in small sections or work quickly.

    Re: My Next Great Adventure

Hurry up and relax. This is probably the hardest part for someone that has many hobbies.
  17. Re: Too much of a mess to know if I should be concerned - glad I found this though

I agree with 2black1s. It’s just kind of a shitty design and there will always be some oil left over.
  18. Re: Streaking & Spotting With Panel Wipe When I Was Preparing To Put On Ceramic Coating

To piggy back on what Guz said. Gtechniq panel wipe is quite strong. If your paint is soft or medium-soft, it can cause havoc IME. Chances are you may just need to go over everything with your...
  19. Re: All new Dodo Juice! (ShineCraft wax review)

Right on! For me personally, I enjoy waxing classic cars. It feels more intimate if that makes sense. lol
  20. Re: All new Dodo Juice! (ShineCraft wax review)

How would you compare this to the new Gyeon wax?

    Re: Layering CanCoat

I’d just use Ech20 to maintain it. Can use as a QD, WW & rinseless. Cleans well, lots of lubricity, nice gloss. Infinitely dilutable to your needs.
If your not riding in the rain, your cases...

    Re: Layering CanCoat

Don’t quote me but I believe Gyeon says it doesn’t need to be layered but you can if you want. I have been through many bottles of it and have always had great longevity only one coat. I also suggest...

Re: BLACKFIRE One Step - I'm a Believer!

Interesting. I just used it on a jet black G550 this past Saturday in direct sun without issue. I spray 1-2 sprays in a low/medium knap towel and wipe it in. Initially there was some faint streaking...

Re: BLACKFIRE One Step - I'm a Believer!

I have. I was going to re-up my D156 when a detailer friend told me about M799. Said “it’s like D156 on steroids”. I can’t comment on the durability of it yet because I’ve only used it about 10 times...

Re: Black edition Blackfire ceramin coating

Unless you are saturating your applicator, you can get 2 coats from a 50ml bottle. I have done 2 G63’s with one 50 ml bottle with usually a few ml’s left.
