Re: Does Anyone Still Use Detail Sprays?

I mix my own details sprays either with Wolfgang Uber or Ech2O. The pre-made dedicated detail sprays like Meguiars Quick Detailer are used for door jambs or under the hood.

    Re: Maintenance wash how-to?

If you are looking to preserve a wax or a coating, then a pH neutral soap is what you should be using. Meguiars Hyper Wash is a great product that doesn't have any conditioners or additives and it...

    Re: Calling mike phillps

The profession or hobby of auto detailing is very rewarding, but helping a young student is even more rewarding. You are a good man Mike Phillips.
  6. Re: Question for mobile detailing guys with small vans?

If you ran the Ryobi for 15 minutes straight that would only consume 18 gallons of water. The 65 gallon tank would get you through 3 cars and the weight of the water in the tank would be 541 lb.
  7. Re: Question for mobile detailing guys with small vans?

I would say that it depends on the flow rate of your power washer. A gas powered unit will have a flow rate of around 2.8 GPM. An electrically powered unit will have a flow rate of around 1.5 GPM....

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

The wife wants a Sun Setter awning on the deck but I have been fighting it for years. There is no power outlet on the deck. I finally installed an outdoor outlet and it even works and there were no...
  9. Re: What is your current favorite waterless wash?

Wolfgang Uber has always been a favorite of mine for waterless and rinseless. Lately I have been using Ech2O and I like that as well. The Uber wipes off of the surface more cleanly but the Ech2O...
  10. Re: New, frustrated and determined (lots of questions)?

Welcome to forum and welcome to our obsession and passion of maintaining spotless vehicles. You should add the Meguairs D101 and the Griots PFM to your shopping list. Have you thought about a...

Re: Tree sap!!! How to remove it?!?!

Thanks Jm. I was always concerned about using denatured alcohol as it seemed to be too harsh. That is good to know. I do like using Tarminator since it has some lubricity to it as well as some...
  12. Re: Daily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!

I am glad that it washed right off. Parking under a tree can be a curse with sap, leaves and bird deposits but it can also be a blessing. It's great to work in the shade.
  13. Re: Marks on front glass where rubber wipers sit. How to remove and keep from coming back?

All of the previous mentioned solutions are great options. You can also try a plastic razor blade.

Re: Tree sap!!! How to remove it?!?!

My sap problem disappeared when my brother-in-law moved out. Actually I have used Tarminator, IPA and even WD-40. Tarminator works really well and it is formulated to be safe for clear coats.
  16. Re: Any durabilty reports on TW Ceramic Spray

I have been using both the Hybrid ceramic and the Seal n Shine. Quite frankly the Seal n Shine has survived longer than the ceramic. I will get great hydophobic properties and slickness out of the...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The tires were cleaned with DP Detailing Tire and Wheel cleaner. A good product but one small bottle doesn’t go very far. The tires got a coat of Duragloss 253 and the truck got a coating of Turtle...

    Leather Fix

A tip for my fellow forum members. Do not let hand sanitizer drip on your leather seats. I had that exact situation and it was a problem. I scrubbed the area with Ultima Interior Shampoo and the spot...

    Re: Remove swirls by hand

I’m not sure what kind of bumper you gave but perhaps you can replace a panel. I had rust on my truck bumper and I polished it out. The rust came back a few days later. I ended up buying a new panel...

I am in the process of doing a redye on my truck seats. Hand sanitizer ate the finish off of the leather. I bought the dye from Leather World Technologies and the color match was very impressive. The...
  24. Re: Looking for a good interior detailer and uv protection spray

I just picked up some DP Interior All in One. It leaves a matte finish and really no noticeable scent. I usually use Megs Quik Interior Detailer but I like the DP.
  25. Re: Disinfecting car to kill covid reccomendations?

Exactly. Many cleaners can be too harsh for delicate interiors like leather. Spray Nine kills viruses in 30 seconds. I spray it and let it dwell on the surface for 30 seconds and then wipe the...
