Re: Using wool pad for first time

Are you sure it needs wool? I would at least do a test spot with either of the recommended Sonax polishes and determine what pad would work. I will also say the Rupes yellow foam is great and works...

    Re: Best tire dressings?

It can be done but from experience I would only be cleaning the tire once a week for about a month before using any tire coating to make sure all of the tire dressing has leeched its way out.
  3. Re: Recommend me some tire cleaners that won't brown my tires please!

I wouldn't go as far as saying it is the best at least from my experience. It is good but the previous version of McKee's tire coating had it beat.

If you would have wanted to try it I...

Re: Microfiber lint on windshield glass?

Great glass towels. Their glass cleaner is also great.

Re: My experience w BF Ceramic Pro Black Edition

Hard to say. Hopefully Mike or someone from AGO chimes in. I haven’t used any of the new AGO coatings.

Have you tried it on another painted surface that is not your car paint? For example...

Re: My experience w BF Ceramic Pro Black Edition

It is possible the temp and humidity played a factor. Perhaps all you needed was to let it sit for 30 second if it was difficult the longer you let it sit. The other thing is you could have...
  7. Re: Safeway to remove interior dressing from screen

Something like stoners invisible glass would be ok. You can always use warm water.
  8. Re: Worst Case scenario for Brake Dust! Need Advice

That's just as important as the cleaner used. Spray and rinse ain't gonna cut it.

Re: My experience w BF Ceramic Pro Black Edition

Ask your painted how long before you can add a wax, sealant or coating. Sometimes the paint can be coated within a few days. It all comes down to the body shop. Worst case you are polishing off...
  10. Re: Worst Case scenario for Brake Dust! Need Advice

Are you agitating the cleaner or just spraying on and rinsing off? I don't see you mentioning this.
  11. Re: Will Poorboys Professional PolishClean panels well?

Just a suggestion and I have faith that you can apply it successfully to protect the paint for a longer period of time. Especially with the ease of use of coatings these days.

    I never got...
  12. Re: Will Poorboys Professional Polish Clean panels well?

No need to put a wax or sealant over the coating. Simple wash and the drying aid of your choice. Beadmaker is a favorite for those wanting to top their coatings. I just listened to a podcast (i...
  13. Re: Will Poorboys Professional Polish Clean panels well?

Have you thought about using one of the new dr. beaseley's finishing primer polishes and ceramic coating the truck. Your maintenance will be a lot easier and you won't have to polish so often. Just...
  14. Re: How to remove wax from plastic/vinyl bumpers?

Great product to do so. I did a review on it and it is floating around the forum.

    Re: Best Ceramic for Wheels

In that case any wheel coating will suit your needs. A paint coating will also work as the wheels are clear coated.

    Re: Best Ceramic for Wheels

The thing about coatings is that they don't last long on bare metal such as the aluminum wheels. The wheels will still oxidize just at a slower rate. You can still use any of them but just letting...

Wasn’t going to but I why not lol.

For those asking for updates. It will have to wait for awhile. Stay tuned.

    Re: Backing plate failed

Thanks for the update. I kind of figured that running at a lower speed would be the correct way. Similar to the Rupes tools with not needing anything above speed 4. I have not had issues using the...

Re: Best polish to use before ceramic coating?

An AIO is not a good idea to use before any coating. Either a polish or a primer polish is what you want. YOu have many options with primer polishes these days from Gyeon Q2 Primer, CarPro Essence...

Re: Best polish to use before ceramic coating?

Unfortunately it looks to be user error. The minimum wait time between any Cquartz coating and Gliss is 4 hours.

Reload is also not the greatest in durability. It masks the performance of a...

    Re: Backing plate failed

With the new motor does this tool need to be run at speed 5? Speed 4 should have more than enough power. I don't plan to buy one but just watching the video this is what I was thinking.

    Re: Megs leather balm.

    It works fine. Smells great.

I have used conditioners like these, then leather coatings and now I am using the colourlock system. After using colourlock, I think I am just going to stick with...
  23. Re: Looking for a spray and wipe that works well on ceramic coated dark colored cars

I am finding the complete opposite of what you experienced. Goes to show how different environments also play a factor.
  24. Re: Looking for a spray and wipe that works well on ceramic coated dark colored cars

What coating is on the car and wheels? Anyway yes treat the wheels the same as paint for the most part. Every now and then chemically decon them. Wheels will more often then not need some sort of...
  25. Re: Staining on ceramic coated aluminum wheels

More than likely the simple green that was used. You could always polish them yourself and protect them as well. Ceramics don't last that long on uncoated metal.
