  1. Re: Washing/Rinsing undercarriage without running water

There is a product called Saltaway that's made for marine use. It rinses salt off surfaces with just a sprayer of any kind. I use it with a 2 gallon sprayer for removing salt off any surface.
    Try...

    Re: Menzerna Powerlock Prep

I have all kinds of machines. Short throws, long throws,(15 and 21) small DA's (3") flex rotary's, cheap rotary's, and the GG6 is still my go to.

    I have a G9 on the way,I and will keep my 6...

    Re: Menzerna Powerlock Prep

There is night and day difference in the Porter Cable and the new Griot's 9. Way more power, balance, speed, and a lifetime warranty. Prices are close, so why buy the Porter Cable?
  4. Re: New FLEX Tool - See it on AutogeekOnline.net this Sunday!

It's a waffle weave display box.

I thought it was the third tool from the right!

Re: What’s your soft finish kit?

For soft paint I use car pro reset with Merino wool mitts, and polish with essense high gloss with orange ( medium cut) pads, then apply a layer of polish angel high gloss.

    Re: Flex 3401 stopped working

I think there's a new version coming out shortly with a plastic shroud instead of metal, and handle like the 15 orbital.

  9. Re: Turtle Wax ICE Seal N Shine - after or before?

I think he was being sarcastic. Autogeek supplies this forum to discuss the products available thru their store.
It takes money and time to provide this for us, and all they ask in return is to...
  10. Re: The Nastiest Details I've Done This Year Combined Into 1 Disgusting Video

Me either. I have a young kid working with me that has that pleasure.
  11. Re: menzerna powerlock vrs polish angel master, hd poxy.

Poxy looks great, but I'm not sure it would last as long as the other 2. I've never used power lock, but PA master sealant is great.

Re: How to deal with thin fine scratch?

I think I would try it on a test panel first. I don't think the outcome will be what you want.

    Re: MF linting

I have dozens of PFM's, and they are remarkable. However, be careful around badges and anything that can grab them, as they will snag.

Also, be sure to wash them in a microfiber wash, like towel...
  14. Re: Orders sent/purchased with missing items - Have you experienced the Same?

I have never had any issues with AG. I did receive a gallon of Hydro Blue that had leaked from a crack in the neck of the jug, and AG replaced it immediately.

    Re: Wax remover?

Are you talking a carnauba wax or a sealant or a combo?
Wax, as in carnauba or Montan, are quite easily removed. Sealants can be a different story.

    Re: Wish me luck...

Those little wheels and tires on your bed probably need some cleaning and a good coating.

Re: Take the plunge or take it to someone else?

Get you a Griot's 6 with a Griot's 5 inch backing plate. Get a few pads, some 3d speed then have fun.

Re: Time lapse paint correction with 3D ONE

3d one works well for me. I add a couple of plops of speed to the pad and it helps tremendously with the wipe off.
It takes very little one to do a great job. If it's hard to remove, it's...
  19. Re: Drying towels , 1-2 towels enough? And MF towel detergent question.

3d towel clean is fantastic. I disagree with the statement about never using a dry towel. It's all I use, but I only use the Griot's pfm towels. Never had any issues with these. Best mfiber...
  20. Re: Sonax BSD Application - Why is it so difficult?

I'm in South Alabama, and during conditions like this, I make sure car is cool, and use a damp microfiber to apply. Short nap is better to apply, longer nap to buff. Apply to a very small area at a...

Re: forgot to wet sand paper, what to do?

Wet sand with a short round of 3000 again, then 5000 in several directions, then all you should need to do is med compound and then finish polish.

  25. Re: Drying aid after applying Hydro Blue Sio2 coating.....

Hydro Blue does not need a drying aid. It is a drying aid. Spray it on per instructions, spread and rinse with pressure, then it just blows right off or dry with a really good drying microfiber...
