    Re: Shop help

Awesome ! It’s cool the way kids follow our hobbies when you take the time to get them involved. My oldest grandson (8 years old) always asks what are we detailing when he comes to visit. He even,...

I started using that WG combo, described above, about 4 years ago n never looked back, great shine.

Re: Ceramic coatings and bird bombs

Throw one of those cheap clear plastic car covers on it (Griots sells them) while you work. I use these when I am on vacation and the cars are left at home for a week. Not enough garage space. Good...

Congratulations on being a new horse owner (follow your dreams life is short). I do like the post about taking risk . I have tried a couple of business risks ( failed at both, but had fun along the...

    Nice save !
  14. Re: Am I wrong in NOT wanting to use a drying aid?

It’s a toss up, sometimes I do n sometimes I don’t. All depends how fast it dries (after air blowing most of the water off ). If I do use a drying aid it is typically just an SiO2 detailer.

“This thing is a space ship”. Excellent work on the USS Enterprise !
  16. Re: AIO or Ceramic for car that is always outside?

Agree with both suggestions listed above. As you know you still need to wash n put a topper (3 to 4 times a year if possible) on when she visits to keep the ceramic properties going.

    Re: DFB's Garage

Fantastic says it all. Maybe in retirement my garage may get to 50% of that state (summer 2023 is the goal)

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Put in the Pontoon boat today n took a 2 hour ride with my better half . The Cobalt ski boat goes in the water tomorrow and then I need to touch up both.

Re: Wolfgang Uber SIO2 Silica Spray

Great review. I have been using this as a topper on my F150 which is coated with WG Profi. The F150 is my daily drive all winter. The coating is 2 years old n this SiO2 will continue to be used to...

Re: Expecting too much from coating?

For 3 of my coated cars I maintain with a wash weekly ( winter can be a challenge at which time I may do iron remover) followed by a SiO topper every other month ( which only takes 15 minutes)....

Re: Leaf blower followed by detailer

Air dry as much as possible followed by a detailed spritz n towel ( never a towel alone on the little bit of water droplets left on paint).

    Re: Finishing advice / coatings

I would go coatings route. Recently used WG Profi and BF ceramic coatings; wen on easy ( make sure you do all the prep work ). Big SUV’s really take a lot of time so get a sealant that will give you ...
