Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I just responded to your PM about posting photos. It came out great. Poorboy's is on of the easiest coatings to apply and the slickest. I am sure he will enjoy the ease of washing it. Nice job by...

How are you not a rag company grmabassador lol. You should join that program when they offer it. I do agree the 300's are great towels.

    Re: SiC application

It’s a stand alone. It replaced the previous version regular cquartz aka TiO2. Very similar in application, feel and looks.

There is nothing new topping UK with SiC. UK was topped with TiO2...

Looking good. Enjoy it. Also I just heard that it will alter the hydrophobics to be sheeting until it wears off.

Haha and I need to keep whispering in his ear to tweak the coating a bit to perform even better.

    Re: Matte decal help

Looks like it is beyond repair. You could try deep cleaning it with Meguiar's M39 and then protect it. Dr. Beasley's makes some protective products for matte and there are now coatings. You could...

Re: Ceramic noob here...need some advice

If you buy Reload just get a tiny bottle. I am not a big fan of Reload as it loses it hydrophobic performance after a couple washes and makes it seem like the coating has failed by going to...
  13. Re: What has The Guz been up to? Big Brakes & Coatings

Thanks. Well worth the work put into it.

Checks in the mail. By the way I am going to hit you up for a coating caddy.

Thanks again for the kind words.
  14. Re: What has The Guz been up to? Big Brakes & Coatings

Lol no. There is no point to swap it. It is not plug and play and would require a full re-wire. The GXP had the front end crushed in anyway. I picked up the caliper for $150

    I purchased...
  15. What has The Guz been up to? Big Brakes & Coatings

I have not posted reviews or other write ups as of late. Besides being busy at work, I had the project of getting the Grand Prix just right.

Back in May of 2021 I decided it was time to take...

    Re: Opti-Clean

Glad you enjoyed it. I ended up tossing it in the trash lol. Was too streaky and there are definitely better products over it. It does work well for interiors.

Here is the video on it. Chicago Auto Pros demoed this on one of their videos a few months ago. The thing is how long will the app be around as that is what controls the gauge.

Re: Cobra Ceramic coating applicator towel.

It is not going to work out that well by flipping and buffing. Yes it is a coating saver with the inner liner but it's best to use it as a coating applicator. I would still reach for the autofiber...

    Re: Another coating question :)

I agree that CQUK 3.0 is easy. SiC is a little trickier because of the long flash times. It has up to 8 mins and you will have to figure out when it is the right time to wipe off.

    Others I...

You don't. You throw them away unless you are using something that doesn't crystalize.

Re: Cobra Ceramic coating applicator towel.

They are the autofiber applicators. They are meant to apply coatings and not wipe off coatings. I made this back in January 2021.

Essentially what my fellow colleague recommended and you will be fine.
  25. Re: First time machine polishing - Product recommendations?

No I don't believe so. Just a by product of whatever is used in the coating formula.
