    Re: New - McKee’s 37 Krystal SiO2 Paste Wax

It will mask the hydrophobic properties of the coating.

    Re: McKee's N-914 As A Quick Detailer?

At 1:128, it’s not slick at all. I use it as a clay lube, however.

I just picked up a ‘19 Mustang GT and loving it.......other than the HIDEOUS factory 18” wheels. Those are being replaced pronto!!

    Bead Maker

Beadmaker, out of the sun on a cool panel, is one of the most user friendly products I’ve ever tried. Does NOT streak/smear and is very slick. Great drying aid! The water behavior and durability is...
  7. Review: Pinnacle Black Label SiO2 Spray Detailer

    LOL

Don’t be fooled into equating PBL products high price tag with breng the best. Not saying they’re bad products, but they’re WAY overpriced.

Re: The Flex 3401 is really a time saver...

I use the Flex 4.5” plate as well. Works well with the 5.5” Force.

Re: The Flex 3401 is really a time saver...

Did some more testing with Force vs. HDO/SDO pads with the 3401. The Force pads are defintely more balanced with the 3401. At the end of the day, if I'm using foam pads with the 3401, the Force pads...
  10. Re: Flex 3401 - Best Pads for CarPro Essence

Really don't think Essence and the 3401 play together, regardless of pad.
  11. Re: car soap before during or after 3-5 gallon of water?

Definitely water first, then add soap. Swish around with grit guard or blast quickly with pressure washer.

Re: 2014 GT500 full coating package!!

Looks great! I personally hate polishing white cars(hard to see the polish).

Orange McKee's pad is good(same as LC flat orange). Try the LC SDO orange if you like the McKee's.

Re: The Flex 3401 is really a time saver...

I just did a side by side comparison of 6.5" blue SDO vs. Orange Force. I couldn't determine cut, as they both got rid of the very minor defects, but the blue SDO finished noticeably better. If I had...

Hey Jim, do you think the new cooling features will translate to less heat generated on the paint?

Hi Aaryn, do you use the 5" or 6" SDO with the 3401?

The Flex 3401 is really a time saver...

The 5.5” HDO works pretty with the 3401. The 6.5” HDO is a different story. I feel the firm interface of the HDO does not play well with forced rotation. Remove that and the pad is more forgiving,...

Re: The Flex 3401 is really a time saver...

To add, for medium-medium hard paint, I like the blue SDO pads with the 3401 for 1-steps. Soft, I like the LC flat white pads. For hard paint, I like the Rupes yellow wool. I don’t do too many 2 step...

The Flex 3401 is really a time saver...

You’ll save time, as Mike Phillips says, “powering” through the curves. If a car had 100% flat panels, I’d reach for a 15/21mm DA every time. However, we know that’s never the case. I cannot stress...

    Having issues with paint correction

The orange pad won’t do much on hard paint, which it seems you’re working on. MF didn’t do much either. An 8mm free spinning DA isn’t the ticket for this type of work. Your technique might have...

Some nice pads for softer paint....

I rarely do 2 steps, so a dedicated finishing pad such as the gloss pad won’t work for me. The orange pad looks interesting.
