  1. Re: Should I use an SiO2 product for maintenance?

Yes I have two accounts on different computers. Not intentional.
  2. Re: Should I use an SiO2 product for maintenance?

I had a full detail done about a year ago and sealant applied.
It is overdue for another detail as the surface is rough and has some small scratches.
The wet wax will hopefully keep things from...
  3. Re: Should I use an SiO2 product for maintenance?

    Thanks for the tips.
Regarding bird bombs, maybe I am waiting too long but find that QD does not take them off without a lot of rubbing.
What I find does work is really hot water and a waffle rag.

    Re: ONRWW rinseless wash advice

What I do is take a small one quart container and put hot water and car wash soap in it to clean just the dirty areas if needed.
Then I wash the car using one cap of ONRWW in a gallon of water....
  5. Re: Should I use an SiO2 product for maintenance?

I am not sure what exactly my detailer put on the last time but I am sure it is a sealant.
It is time to have it done again so maybe I should ask him about other options but would not want to spend...
  6. Should I use an SiO2 product for maintenance?

I have my Prius professionally detailed and sealant applied about once a year.
It stays in a garage and since Covid-19 I only drive it to go for walks.
For maintenance I have used Meguiar's quick...

Re: Removing Scratches under door handles

    Thanks for the great help!
I play guitar so my fingernails are a little long.
Didn't realize they were causing this damage.
Will have to be more careful when opening the doors.

Re: Looking for a quick detailer

I think I am going give the d156 a try except in the smaller size Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax which seems to be the same thing.

Thanks for all the suggestions, really appreciated.

Re: Looking for a quick detailer

I am not using instead of a sealant, just something to use in between sealant application.

    Looking for a quick detailer

Looking for a quick detailer to use as a drying aid and provide a little extra shine and protection after washing.
Ease of use is probably most important. What do I do with the MF towel after wiping...
  14. Looking to rent a carpet cleaner / extractor

I need to clean the carpets in my Sienna Van.

    Re: Basic car wash questions

I bought the car new 3 weeks ago. From what I can tell it does not have any protection and the water did not bead up much.
It also feels rough when I did the baggie test. I am going have a detailer...

    Basic car wash questions

I never thought washing a car could be so complicated.
So far I have Meguires GC soap and a micro fiber waffle towel for drying.

    Re: Newbie need help

OK now I am starting to get it. Why not just skip the clay and just polish it?
Will the buffer pick up the grit that the clay would have removed and mar the paint as well?

    Re: Newbie need help

That is my current plan. He is going to use Opti-Seal I think. Down the road I plan to apply the sealant myself, if I had to pick today it would be Blackfire Wet Diamond.
    I don't doubt that I will...

    Newbie need help

    Hi,
