    Re: Makita P5000 DA discontinued?

The cordless XCE is going to correct slower
They stepped down the RPMs from 480 to 430..
If it still has 10 orbits..then it went down from 4800 to 4300

    Re: Makita P5000 DA discontinued?

And the two reason for this...

Detailers are not real dynamic when it comes to brands..they're typically Rupes/flex or nothing.

The other issue are companies like Makita and the other M word...

    Re: Product Confusion

Just get a quality known brand/product

No one knows the answer to this question and majority won't be able to tell a gloss difference anyways

Use what you got and or like
  8. Re: What do you use for a Detail Prep Wash?

Hey Mike, will BF glass work the same as sonax glass for clay lube too?
  9. Re: What do you use for a Detail Prep Wash?

    I use CS-II Dewax(acid), ADG F-Bomb(alkaline) for prep wash
    Mckee37 N914 for Rinseless
Then solvent/coating prep as a last prep prior to seal
  10. Re: Help - water spots returned even AFTER machine polishing?

My method is an acid based waterspot remover
    Rinse/dry
    Heat gun
    Cool down
reapply waterspot remover if waterspot surfaced
    Alkaline
    Rinse
    Dry
    Reseal

    Re: Best Sio2 spray ceramic

Yes mckee37 N914 and Atomic Rinseless both leave nothing behind

There are also sio2 infused rinseless also but pricey
  14. Re: What products to use with no-rinse wash, and spray on protection that lasts at least a month.

I simply gave him two options as he mentioned using something as a drying aid anyways

I'd normaly say waxed shine Aqua bead as it can be applied spray rinse or spray via dry or wet..but still need...
  15. Re: What products to use with no-rinse wash, and spray on protection that lasts at least a month.

a spray sealant like Polish Angel High gloss or Mckee37 hydro blue will fit the bill for after a Waterless/rinseless

Re: Is there more then just autogeek?

Autogeek is a small part of the detailing world as in there are plenty of other vendors out there even though AGO is a popular house hold brand with one of the greatest OG detailers and teachers.

  17. Re: Pinnacle Paint Coating.. Is surface prep really needed?

Regular IPA doesn't always take everything out, I wouldn't recommend it.. even some panel coating prep like carpro eraser isn't steller..
Some are super strong like Gtechniq panel prep to will you...

    Re: Best Sio2 spray ceramic

Didn't read the responses ,but I'm sure most if not all are suggesting spray sealants with a tad of SIO2 content.
For that segment, I'll recommend waxedshine aqua bead(maintenance) or PA High...

    Re: polisher/buffer

If your new, go straight to a longthrow, as a novice you'll get better results with 0 experience than with an 8mm..when you're seasoned with the machine, you'll still get better results than a 8mm
  23. Re: Which pads for 1st time Long Throw polisher user.

Thin Pros I would only recommend on 8mm and Makita PO5000C/Rupes mille
  24. Re: Which pads for 1st time Long Throw polisher user.

CS-II wool pad is awsome too
  25. Re: Which pads for 1st time Long Throw polisher user.

Which polisher do you have, just curious as if you want smoothness you need to consider grams per pad..

But for durability, you can't beat LC HDO nor B&S Low Pros
Both should be 45G with 6.5...
