Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Unfortunately, I was the driver of this car today.

We went all the way upstate to pick up a new Explorer, all the way back, and I was 5 minutes away from the dealership on a 4 lane highway.

    A...

Re: Your go to interior cleaner b4 protectant ?

Re: Griot's Garage Foam Cannon v2 experiences

Sorry, just to clarify, I have lots of GG products, but not their foam cannon. Again, hopefully all will work out well with ssnimrod.

Re: Griot's Garage Foam Cannon v2 experiences

Sorry to hear you had so many issues with the GG Cannon. What PW are you using? I would mention that GG IS a standup company with excellent customer service and a no hassle return policy, which of...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Beautiful job and beautiful cars. Having briefly owned a Macan, I still think it's the nicest looking CUV/SUV.
  7. Re: New car - interior protectant (like a ceramic?)

It's not a sealant, but I like Griot's Garage's Interior Detailer as well as their Interior Cleaner.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Soooo, what type of detailing did you do? Just looking at that RR, I'm glad I have a small Audi.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Well, being a (former) Festool tool dealer has its advantages, soooo I had the Maxi Systainer (SYSTem CONtainer) just laying around and figured it's perfect for holding the foam gun, cannon, wand...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Ooops, forgot the pics. Finished up yesterday coting my wife's Outback. Actually hood and front fenders were done about a week ago with Wolfgang's Uber Coating, remainder of car with Nanolex...

Esoteric Car Care. That lance and gun look to be well made. When I get a chance to try it, I'll post it here, but I don't anticipate any problems.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Weather was cooperative so I finally finished detailing my Outback. It was days in the making wash, decon, clay polish and today 2 coats of Nanolex Sishield. This is a 2006 and never garaged but well...
  15. Re: Renny Doyle Beadmaker Revisited - 2month Standalone Review

As far as I'm concerned longevity was not thee issue, it was the beading and as mentioned I saw no difference in beading and gloss between that and others I used. Now admittedly I only applied it 2...
  16. Re: Renny Doyle Beadmaker Revisited - 2month Standalone Review

I think that is the driving force behind the negative impressions/comments/opinions/reviews of BM. When I saw Pan's video with its "glowing" review, I bought a gallon. I did an admittedly...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Well done and great job. Question for you - I'm assuming you are in an apartment or condo with a dedicated parking space - how the heck do you have so much or so many parking spots to detail in?

    Re: WDGPS - topping?

I'll through another curve here - I had some WG Uber Coating left from a while ago and didn't want to waste it, so I put it on the hood, front bumper and front fenders. Just incredibly easy to apply....

Thanks for the reply and heads-up about compatibility or rather non-compatibility. Will check out the other WG products, but what about applying Sonax Spray and Seal?

    Re: WDGPS - topping?

Thanks for the reply. I have a gallon of Beadmaker and was a little disappointed in longevity given the super hype about it. Yes it shines well, but no better than other detailing sprays I have used.

    WDGPS - topping?

I have the above sealant, but can it be topped with another sealant "topper" to add durability? In my particular case I have a large almost full bottle of Nanalex-SI which is a topper for Nanalex...
  24. Re: How to safely wash a ceramic coated car by Mike Phillips - Traditional Hose & Bucket Approach

Just thought of another question/clarification regarding using 1 towel per panel. If using a foam cannon or foam gun as a foam pre cleaner, would the 1 towel per panel recommendation still apply?
