  1. Re: 1956 Chevy Bel-Air - Dampsanding, Cut & Polish

Looking back at all the pics, and reading I have to say wow! My father owned a '56 Bel Air, he bought it new, Yellow and Black 2-tone. I was just a baby, 2 years old.

    Two questions I have Mike....
  2. Re: What do I need to start my paint correction??

    Hi,
I assume the PC 7335 is basically the same machine as the older PC7424. Nothing wrong with either.
Do you have a Backing Plate for it? What size? Ideally the largest Pad size for this...

Re: Something for plastic cowl on trucks?

Agreed about using a Detailing Brush or a wide Artist's Brush for Cowls like this. Both for cleaning, and for applying a protectant.

My general theme if you're not going so far to remove the...

Re: Collinate 845..I had to do it

I can remember far back buying it when it was about $11-$12 no matter where. With the good sales here, it still can be gotten quite cheap, and no matter the cost it truly is a great product.

Re: Prevent morning freeze on the windshield

I will agree and say that running a vehicle inside a garage for any long length of time is not wise.
I have seen my own cousin do this in a garage, where he's sitting for 10-12 minutes with his...

Re: Prevent morning freeze on the windshield

[QUOTE=Desertnate;1657068]The idea of letting your car sit and idle has been shown to not be a great idea for a while now and over the last couple of years, there have been numerous articles from...

    Re: Topper for Liquid Souveran

Crystal Mist is a little pricey, but you'll be wowed and feel very good about the purchase. You'll likely note some nice enhancement in looks

Re: Prevent morning freeze on the windshield

A remote start is sure a nice thing to have. Some new vehicles apparently already have this option from the factory, never knew such, such as a friend's 2008 Impala had it, and she never knew,...

    Re: Ceramic coating detailing questions

Good methods and products it seems you have. But remember, the more you touch it, the faster you'll deplete the coating.

No coating is impervious to washes, soaps and applying any products, no...
  10. Re: 2007 black Dodge Charger polishing suggestions

I suspect this is probably very good also. Have you seen this product in a smaller than 32oz bottle?
  11. Re: 2007 black Dodge Charger polishing suggestions

Might depend on what degree of scratches, how deep, and how hard is the Dodge Paint?

Me, I always seem to come back to the Wolfgang goodies, can't help it, they work so well IMO.

    With something...

Re: Thinking of getting a black car, that crazy?

Our old friend Ronkh's (RIP) White Ray for a new Vette sure looked pretty, I'll say that.

The Carbon Fiber bits and pieces stood out nicely in stark contrast, and like I mentioned earlier with...

    Re: Non abrasive cleaner wax

I've had little in the way of problems with #845, that I have always applied it to the entire vehicle, just a simple walk-around, applying, and then coming behind and removing. I know you've said...

Sounds like you have yourself a very nice ride indeed.

Might be hard to predict how this winter will turn out in your neck of the woods, might be decent for you there, but then again you just...

    Re: Non abrasive cleaner wax

OK, not deep cleaning per se, but something that basically has no abrasives.
On the inexpensive end, DG #105 is good and is liked. Should provide 3 months protection in moderate weather.

    Re: Non abrasive cleaner wax

I've used enough Meguiars M20 in my lifetime to tell you without doubt, M20 is not specifically designed to be a cleaner product. It is more likely termed a pure sealant product that could be...

    Re: Non abrasive cleaner wax

DG #501 is a very good cleaner, but very little to nothing as far as abrasives in it. I tried it with a DA and white pads once and got basically nowhere as far as correction abilities.

Re: Thinking of getting a black car, that crazy?

I only shown that car as an idea of what white looks like on a sports car.

My '67 Vette was white, with black interior and convertible top.

I know with many sports cars, particularly a...

But nobody mentioned the freaking heat problems with that color.

    Very nice!
I think for anyone short of a hardcore pro detailer, the G-9 and G8 will deliver a great 1-2 punch in anyone's arsenal.

Although still decent machines, it looks like the PC7424XP,...
  25. Re: Streaks on rear (tinted) windshield after Iron-X

I've never recalled reading about someone having this sort of a problem with Iron-X, maybe somebody here might've?
