Re: BigBoi vs Metro Blaster Sidekick

These things are best at moving a wider volume of air as opposed to a focused velocity. If you're trying to remove some stubborn grime under the hood, around the engine compartment, crevices and such...

Re: BigBoi vs Metro Blaster Sidekick

    [emoji16]
Actually had a chance to meet and talk with the husband and wife team from BigBoi who flew in from Australia for an Open House last Summer, really cool folks. All the Australian folks I've...

Re: BigBoi vs Metro Blaster Sidekick

If'n your looking at the Sidekick-ish BigBoi Buddi, last Spring I got a bit impatient waiting for the BigBoi Pro to be back in stock, figrd I`d snatch one of these for all the small vents, creases,...

    Re: 2018 Porsche GT3

Wonder how they'd take it if I were able to buy a new Porsche, chose the PTS option and then asked for Honda Aegean Blue Metallic?
  5. Re: SEMA 2019 New Products - New Products Coming Soon!

For lazy people like me, there are certainly advantages. If I had a show car that only went out on sunny weekends for 20 or 30 miles, less useful.
  6. Re: Lake Country Microfiber Pads used with flex 3401

Buff n Shine Uro Fibre pads work well with 3401. Decent cut, nice finish. Works well w Griots Correcting Cream for a 1-step in many situations.

    Re: Winter cleaning options/products

Dunno what kinda protection you have (wax, sealant, coating) but here in NE Ohio I do as little as possible during the winter, sometimes 'less is more'. Its a nice vacation from the regular...
  8. Re: Thinking of getting a black car, that crazy?

Sometimes I look back at those times with great fondness...as does my credit card.
  9. Re: SEMA 2019 New Products - New Products Coming Soon!

Well this is certainly interesting, thanks for the info...kinda missed it.

This, along with CarPro Metallicut might be worth looking into. Hopefully the PPF Wash isn't like that Bathe Essence...
  10. Re: SEMA 2019 New Products - New Products Coming Soon!

What did you think of it? I think it's quite nice for that type of product.

  12. Re: SEMA 2019 New Products - New Products Coming Soon!

It seems so, for the most part. Have met some IGL folks who do look at it as just another tool in the toolbox, nice folks...one of whom sent me some IGL Quartz to play with last year. The one's who...
  13. Re: SEMA 2019 New Products - New Products Coming Soon!

I see someone recently did a test of Admas vs IGL Premier and in his opinion, Adams won out. Some of the more myopic IGL zealots are gonna have kittens if they see that.

Re: Meguiars comes into the Ceramic age.

Yup...a good starting point for sure.

I wonder how different the whole detailing 'thing' is between places like Buffalo, NY and Phoenix, AZ?

In the wintery Northeast I remember never caring so...

Re: Meguiars comes into the Ceramic age.

I think the M788 kit has been avaliable 'across the pond' for quite a while now. Their indication that it's a 'new formula' makes me think they've tweaked it so that it now meets US VOC regulations...

Re: applying ceramic for the first time,

By 'buff off', not referring to any machine work just using a towel to remove 'flashed' coating. Applying a coating involves no machines. There was one coating I've used that recommended a damp towel...
  17. Re: Thinking of getting a black car, that crazy?

Was a very revealing moment when I looked at a dirty black car and asked myself "Do you own the car or does it own you?"

Re: applying ceramic for the first time,

There is no guarantee that even using the most angelic towels sent from heaven, you won't leave a high spot. Be sure to buff off/level a bit past the section you're working on. When I started mucking...
  19. Re: Wolfgang Über Rinseless Wash as QD for Coating,

This. Kinda depends on the behavior of the base coating. When I used it on top of McKees V1 and WG Uber Ceramic, it made little difference. When I used it on top of coatings with exceptional water...
  20. Re: Thinking of getting a black car, that crazy?

And that pretty much sums up black cars. When clean, there is (IMO) nothing that looks better...when dirty, there's nothing that looks worse.

Have been addicted to black cars for the last 15...
  21. Re: Removing toppers from ceramic coating with out hurting the coating

If'n it was me and based on what I have on the shelf, with an eye towards overkill:

    1. Foam it at strong dilution
    2. Hose down with PA Ultrared
    3. Gyeon Iron
    4. Gyeon Tar
    5. Wash with Reset...
  22. Re: New Graphene product from IGL and maybe carpro?

  23. Re: New Graphene product from IGL and maybe carpro?

Will send ya a PM since both the products in question are non-AG stuff.
  24. Re: New Graphene product from IGL and maybe carpro?

I re-did my (black) daily driver with a Graphene coating last May and it's doing very well, quite impressive w little maint on my part.

Is it because it has 'graphene' in it? I have no idea, nor...

    Re: Forum activity

The one plus to the Facebook group is that there's *always* something going on to read, pertinent or not. I like reading stuff about things I'm interested in no matter if I have to 'self-filter' or...
