    Re: BOSS Pads

The Griots Fast Finishing MF pads red foam interface has been changed. The new ones are stiffer and have a centering hole. good changes.

    Re: Speedmaster Notorious Dry towel.

I don't use a drying towel with spray waxes. Those get a different towel. I prefer a suede or terry type MF towel.

    Re: Speedmaster Notorious Dry towel.

Here's my take. I'd rather use a smaller drying towel (or two) than a large one. The smaller ones are easier to wring out. So far, for drying, the looped towels seem to work really well.

    Re: Sanded off clear coat

Sounds like a terrible idea and will look horrible
  8. Re: Suggestions? Most durable paint sealant, that’s easy on-off?

    Re: ECH2O on CanCoat

I've used ECH20 as a rinseless and it works fine. Somehow in my mind I feel like Duragloss rinseless has a bit more lubrication.

    Re: Griots pads

I'm sure they will work fine. Just match the product to the pad.

Have you tried to remove them with a claybar?

Re: Carpro Clarify - initial review

I don't get fancy glass cleaners. The tried and true Stoners and Sprayway work good enough for me.

Re: Substitute for Meguiars NXT car wash?

NXT car wash is supurb. It has good cleaning ability. If you want local, look for a Mothers product.
  14. Re: Quick detailer for satin vinyl wrap with ceramic coating

    Maybe try Mothers VLR
  15. Re: 2011 F350 rear fender rust spot and bubbles, does WoolWax help before installing fender flares?

On the outside I'd use a rust convertor and then cover with fender flares. On the underside, Woolwax would help seal out the water and air.
  16. Re: How to disguise small stone chips on black hood

I'd use a polymer sealant that doesn't leave white residue in cracks.

Re: Are any of you using aerosol tire dressings?

Meguairs Ultimate Black tire coating dries but takes a bit of time. Probably depends on if you spray and let sit or spray and wipe.

I think the Griots Black Satin dries but wiping it off helps...

Re: Are any of you using aerosol tire dressings?

Griots Black Satin has pretty decent durability.

I bought a can of Meguairs Ultimate Black tire coating. Put some on a set of new tires. Sprayed and wiped with an applicator. Nice and black and...

    Re: Dr Beasley’s NSP Z1

For the price, I think the Mothers CMX 3in 1 ceramic with acrylic is a better buy. With the right pad the Mothers is a nice finishing polish.
  21. Re: 1967 Chevy C20 Barn Find - Original Paint - Remove Mud Dauber Stains

Mike, you just ruined a perfectly good barn find. Anyone can have a clean truck but not everyone can have authentic barn dirt. It takes decades to look that dirty.
  22. Re: Pad recommendations for light-medium oxidation with GG DA orbital buffer to pair with Marinee 31

I'd suggest trying one of the Griots Fast Finishing MF pads. The have decent cut. Not sure how they would work on gel coat though.

Re: Ultimate Compound or Polishing Compound?

Ultimate Compound is a pretty decent product but I found that Griots complete compound in the yellow bottle was easier to work with and easier to remove.
  24. Re: Is there a strong soap out there that CLEANS?

Meguiars NXT soap cleans well. Not sure it's made anymore.
  25. Re: 20mm Polisher + 5.5" orange pad + Speed 6 = HELICOPTER/GRENADE

On a long throw polisher make sure to use a pad with a center hole. It helps reduce heat. I've collapsed the center of a pad without a hole.
