  1. Re: I learned some valuable detailing knowledge on a YT video - YMMV.

Every time my wife asks "Do you really need this, is it *really* different than some of the other stuff you already have?" I ask her if she really needs all those shoes, most of which are...

    Re: Good to go now!

I woulda gone certified 10h w lifetime warranty but removing it for required annual maintenance appointments would been a bit problematic.

    Good to go now!

Coated my new mailbox with a lab-certified 9h hardness coating. Next snowplow that hits it is in for a big surprise! It's 9h, man!...

Re: Stepping up my detailing game

The most epic coating in all the kingdom will still require physical agitation to clean it up completely. Such is life...
  9. Re: WG Fuzion Wax Mini Kit - Any Experience

I topped my first coating (WG Uber Ceramic) with Fuzion. As is often the case, I was quite impressed with it at first glance but in the end, visual improvement was mostly in my mind and I essentially...
  10. Re: Ceramic Coatings and the Misinformation of the Masses

It appears as least 1 'big guy' requires annual maint visits...I'd suspect others do something similar.

  11. Re: Ceramic Coatings and the Misinformation of the Masses

Do pro-only coatings that come with a 'warranty' require return visits/top-ups as well?

I thought a few required some kinda aftercare program.
  12. Re: Ceramic Coatings and the Misinformation of the Masses

The ‘h’ hardness can be measured in 2 different ways, leading to confusion and exaggeration.

The Mohs scale of mineral hardness is a scale characterizing scratch resistance of various minerals...

    Skeptic, eh? [emoji1]

Edit: As it could be construed as promoting a non-AG product on their forum, I removed the link to my notes and mfg info.

Regardless, it's a very effective product whether...
  15. Re: Is Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions The Most Reviewed Product on YouTube?

Didn't notice it but you are correct, interesting. It's kinda faded from conversation.
  16. Re: Is Anyone Else Tired of All the Ceramic Pile-Ons?

Why, because the packaging notes sez so! [emoji1]

Tried to send ya PM with links and such but yer at your limit for PM's
  17. Re: Is Anyone Else Tired of All the Ceramic Pile-Ons?

Eh, it still beads enough to satisfy folks, likely due to the other elements in it, possibly Silazane and Polydimenthylsiloxane.

Enough that mfg's still use 'hydrophobic' in the description...
  18. Re: Is Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions The Most Reviewed Product on YouTube?

I'll bet Beadmaker would win that award...
  19. Poll: Re: FLEX XC3401 vs any of the new long stroke polishers???

Wow, didn't even notice. Looks like I'm the dork who resurrected it. Wonder why it showed up as a 'New Post' in my Tapatalk feed?
  20. Poll: Re: FLEX XC3401 vs any of the new long stroke polishers???

I've seen some seasoned pros use a Rupes 15 and once ya get the technique down solid, probably no time difference between the 2.
  21. Poll: Re: FLEX XC3401 vs any of the new long stroke polishers???

When I just wanna get something done quick, FLEX 3401. When I wanna *enjoy* getting something done, Rupes 15 or BOSS 21.

Flex is like kicking the door down to get in a room; Rupes/BOSS is like...
