Re: I put my money where my mouth is

I don't really consider a product that needs boosting at a specified interval as lasting 25 years. One coat that lasts 25 years, do the test and then report back. Until a company can back up their...

Re: Abrasives That Don't Stain Trim/Rubber?

I've always heard the general rule of thumb is to not polish plastics with regular polishes but plastic specific polishes.

Re: I put my money where my mouth is

I'm calling BS on a 25 year coating. After roughly 15 years outside in the northeast, clearcoat begins to fail. Also, anything that claims to be on the extreme durable side, I'd want to know that...

Meguiars makes a tire coating but I don't know how good it is

Re: Buff and Shine Dark blue uro-tec

That maroon pad really should be called a light cutting pad.

    Re: Anybody heard from SWETM?

Having had back issues myself, I sort of understand on a much milder level how serious the issues can be. Best of luck.

Re: Menzerna is releasing 2 new polishes.

I have some old Menzerna Intensive Polish and I'm not overly impressed with it. It works ok but doesn't knock my socks off.

Re: My experience w BF Ceramic Pro Black Edition

Yep, paint needs some time to outgas. I was talking online with someone who said even paints that are baked need some time to outgas.
  10. Re: How to remove wax from plastic/vinyl bumpers?

I'd make a suggestion to put the wax away and use a more modern product that doesn't leave white residue. Never have to worry about the issue again.

Re: Wow! Still on the road!

I think that car might be one step up from a Chevette.
  12. Re: Wolfgang Sealant 3.0 vs Sio2 Sealant vs Uber Ceramic Spray Coating

Just a light spritz of water and then a light mist of SIO2 spray. I like a suede MF towel for applying.
  13. Re: Wolfgang Sealant 3.0 vs Sio2 Sealant vs Uber Ceramic Spray Coating

I think it works better to spray the SIO2 spray onto a slightly damp towel and wipe it on and buff it off.

    Re: Wolfgang Uber SIO2 spray...

I wonder if the streaking might not be the carrier agents. I washed my car after applying Wolfgang SCC and had an oily looking type film wash off the car in some spots.
  15. Re: Now available - Dr. Beasley's Z1 Ceramic AIO Primer

The primers remind me of the Duragloss Polish Bonding Agent.

    Re: Best Ceramic for Wheels

The best thing to do would be to do a cardboard round to lay over the backside of the spokes and then use Wheel Clearcoat to paint the barrel.
  17. Re: Wolfgang Sealant 3.0 vs Sio2 Sealant vs Uber Ceramic Spray Coating

Yep the Wolfgang SIO2 spray adds some wetness.

    Re: Backing plate failed

I'll add this comment. Griots, if speed 5 or 6 is too powerful then you shouldn't have designed the product with those speed settings because the world is full of Tim "the tool man" Taylor type...
  19. Re: How to remove a Ceramic Paint Coating High Spot by Mike Phillips

I think that with some of the spray coatings that if you apply them too thick the carrier agents get trapped and don't fully evaporate. I've had a few places that once I've buffed off a section and...
  20. Re: Now available - Dr. Beasley's Z1 Ceramic AIO Primer

I agree it needs an AIO type designation. I think for the average enthusiast, they would overlook the the line entirely due to the primer designation. That term has no meaning for the average person.

    Re: Backing plate failed

No company would intentionally design a product to fail in a few minutes usage(other than maybe GM and cheap ignition switches). In the era of social media that would be suicide.

    Based on pics, it...
  22. Re: Wolfgang Sealant 3.0 vs Sio2 Sealant vs Uber Ceramic Spray Coating

Yep, the CSC is a really nice product. It applies so easily unlike other products I've read about. Really reflective glassy look.

    Re: Coating Boosters

I used the Wolfgang SIO2 spray(not booster). It's a really concentrated formula so a couple sprays on a MF can cover a larger panel. Looks really wet. It rinses really clean at a coin op car wash.
  24. Re: Looking for a spray and wipe that works well on ceramic coated dark colored cars

I bought it to use a Rinseless wash. Seems good but I'm not sure it's any better than Duragloss rinseless wash.
