Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

My brothers '14 Forester is satin white pearl so there was quite a bit of purple happening.
On white the color change is dramatic but even so there was a helluva lot of purple.
    But like you said...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I used the Eagle one Black and plasti-coat wheel cleaner as an iron remover on my brothers last minute detail.
Worked alright but wished I would have had more than 3 ounces of Iron-X on hand.

Re: Wash or dry after clay bar?

Lately what I have been doing is rinsing after wash then using the last clean mitt to soap the car in front of the clay bar.
I use the multiple mitt approach so the soap is clean.

    That way I just...
  4. Re: Recurring haze on headlights of 2013 Subaru WRX STi

I have had a Sylvania UV clearcoat kit hanging on my pegboard for a few years.
I really haven't had to sand a headlight yet.
According to the directions it's all about sanding them out then the...

    Re: My new ride...

The Forgestar F14s are one of my favorites. So many colors to choose from.

Square set up with 10s? What finish are the wheels.

    Sharp looking ride.
  9. Re: I know nothing about lighting. Are these bulbs worth it?

I suppose it depends how much work you want to put into it.

You can connect 6,4foot strips in line. With A19 plug adapters 12 of these at 2200 lumens each will light it up.

    Being able to spread...
  10. Re: I know nothing about lighting. Are these bulbs worth it?

Is the old T8 or T12 shop light plugged into a duplex receptacle?

If so get a 6 outlet adapter for it.

Re: Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

What do you mean by do not top it with itself??

That browning must have been from the deflating/mounting process.
  12. Re: Sonax polymer net shield vs collinite 845 for winter ??

I use the Sonax foam applicator. It has somewhat of a handle to help glide. Rinsed it out with orange degreaser and still works great.

Re: which product was that again ??

I had 1 coat of UK on my daughters car topped with Reload.

Re: which product was that again ??

I have only used Stoners Tarminator and Tar-x.

I like being able to control the spray with Tar-x. My experience felt better with Tar-X.

I did a whole car with Tar-X to rid Reload from a UK3...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

    Now we are getting somewhere.

I remember you saying it doesn't last as long. I hope you run them for a bit to check it out.

  16. Re: Sonax polymer net shield vs collinite 845 for winter ??

I would respectfully disagree with the ease of application.
I would give the piece of cake application to 845.

But as far as maintaining every couple weeks, BSD would be the ultimate winter...

  20. Re: Will tire cleaner / coating prep remove wheel coating

I had the same question and paranoia because of black wheels.

I used in one sitting Meguiars D143 at 1/1, Zep 505 at 1/1, 303 tire/rubber cleaner straight and the TW tire cleaner that came in the...
