    Re: SKECHERS Shoes?

For work boots the best I've owned are Keen. For regular sneakers I really dig Pumas. The suedes are quite fashionable.
  2. Re: Leather care - conditioner, sealant, coating or water?

I'm a little skeptical of that claim. If it was that simple, just use water as a leather conditioner.

Very nice. The clear coat must have been hammered.

That sucks, I had to put down my 14 year old cat last month.

Re: More cut with AiO or stronger polish?

If you really want faster cut out of an AIO, use a Griots MF Fast Finishing pad.

Re: Megs M799 - Bead Booster

I've been impressed with Wolfgang SCC in regards to protecting against bird bombs. I think that is the ultimate test of a product.

    Re: Jescar & Collinite

I've got a bottle of the pre-voc 845. Just shake it and it turns to a thinner liquid. Kinda neat. Not sure if the new stuff works the same way.

    Re: Autopia

That might be something they want to fix. Not that that many people are affected because I think only a dozen people post there anymore.

Re: How important is durability to you?

Hard water can be tough on waxes and sealants. In the sun it can bake on and be difficult to remove. I have hard water spotting on some glass surfaces that I can't remove.

Re: Carpro Eraser vs Other Brand IPA

These products seem similar in concept to Duragloss Polish Bonding Agent. That has been around for quite a while. Not exactly sure when it was introduced.

I guess it all depends on the chemistry...

Re: Carpro Eraser vs Other Brand IPA

I'd say that any wax remover would remove 845 and Wolfgang. Any ISO will clean the paint. As to whether their are specific bonding agents in Eraser, you'd have to ask the manufacturer.

Re: Gloss vs Glow, are all paints created equal

I think it depends on the paint formulation. Lexus has a metallic red paint that is almost iridescent. Chrysler has a blue metallic that almost glows.

    Re: Best Ceramic coating lite

Wolfgang Spray ceramic coating is a pretty nice product. Most people can get 6 months real world protection out of it.

Re: ONR with Pressure Wash Yes or No?

In salty or dirty conditions, I'd use a power sprayer with water to knock off the crud. I wouldn't waste ONR by adding it to the power sprayer.

    Re: 2001 Trans Am WS6 - Resurrection

Leather Honey is good for neglected seats. The conditioner is a bit sticky so I set it soak in for a couple days and then use a leather cleaner to buff off the excess.

    Re: 2001 Trans Am WS6 - Resurrection

As a fellow 4th gen TA WS6 owner, thanks for saving it. Check facebook or ebay for the top dash pad. As for the actual dash, I'd suggest a vinyl and fabric paint, either Duplicolor or Sem. Seats...
  17. Re: Ceramic coated now would like to add more depth

Wolfgang SCS is like a sealant on steroids. It was still there on the side of my truck at 6 months. Won't last much longer than that outside. Pretty much foolproof so that's a plus. Add the Wolfgang...

  20. Re: Polish/Compound/AIO Recommendation: Good cutting ability, easy workability, easy wipe-off, good finishing

I think Mothers 3 in 1 Ceramic is a great AIO finishing polish. You can get some cut out of it with a MF pad.

I prefer Griots over Meguiars Ultimate Compound.

Re: Griots Ceramic wash and coat

Duragloss rinseless and ECH20 really don't suds either.
  22. Re: A week has gone by after I applied glaze, never got around to sealant ... now what?

Depends on the glaze, some are acrylic based to allow a sealant to stick. An oily glaze will probably compromise a sealants durability.

    Re: Is this considered "streaking"?

Sometimes it's the carrier agents that streak before they flash off. In a QD it could be something like alcohol that evaporates.

    Re: Meguiar's HCD - Beading

I've found the majority of Meguiars products to perform well initially and then fall off. I think Mother's makes a slightly better line of products.
