Re: Dealers “man with a towel” got me!

Definitely not acceptable. I once put a sticky note stating not to wash on the steering wheel of my old Silverado. It was 99% swirl free and just had some collinite applied.

    Situations like yours...

    Re: 2018 Porsche GT3

Awesome car, beautifully finished. Nice to see old school wax/sealants used still.

If I were to buy a Porsche, that’s the color I’d want.

Re: 2019 Fall Dragon Run, pics and stories

Nice pics. Looks like you had fun. 2,400 miles....That’s more miles than I put on my Z28 this year.

Knoxville is my favorite medium to large sized city I’ve ever been to. I see a University of...

Re: Thinking of getting a black car, that crazy?

I think you’re crazy for wanting to park a black c8 outside, regardless of location. Id go Elkhart Lake blue, Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat, or Sebring Orange. I saw a Sebring orange c8 last...
  6. Re: Need Advice Restoring Faded Black Satin Rims

On second thought, I agree with others, have them powder coated.
  7. Re: Need Advice Restoring Faded Black Satin Rims

I have no advice on making them satin, but I'd hit them with the compound and live with the shiny black. Have any pics of the test spot? How about the whole Jeep?

Re: Mc Kess anti frost washer fluid.

Doesn't say anything about what it's rated to temperature wise. I usually buy the -30F or -35F (can't remember which) rated washer fluid. I have seen those temps in Michigan before, and we will see...

Re: What the heck did the dealer spray on my car

I’m also guessing clearcoat overspray. If clay isn’t getting it off, I’m not sure I’d be comfortable making a recommendation. I just don’t have the expertise others have. Keep us updated.

Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

I guess I didn’t realize the WRX (non STi) was even unrefined. That’s too bad. Also, the 2017 accords are very nice.

Btw, this is the state of my road this morning. The county did maintenance on...

Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Subaru’s are definitely fun in snow. Why did you get rid of it? The only WRX I’ve driven was an early release 2004 STi back in 2003. Not exactly refined but it was a riot to drive. I’ve kicked around...

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

That Falcon is bad! Love it.

And for those that hate winter, get something that you can play in the snow with. Here is my Jeep ready for winter with a Collinite 845 prep.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

    Those H2s are massive.

Today I washed, lightly clayed, and then applied Collinite 845 to my Jeep. Tomorrow I’ll clean the interior. It’s fun having a vehicle that’s allowed to get dirty.

Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Great looking TL. I wanted one of those back in the day. I would still enjoy one, however. Nice to see that it's being taken car of.
  18. Re: My new (to me) 2010 Audi S4, Prestige! :) Come join me through this journey...

Good question, I've been able to remove some of it with a soft brush and interior detailer, but it was pretty fresh. Try any leather specific products?
  19. Re: My new (to me) 2010 Audi S4, Prestige! :) Come join me through this journey...

    Nice car!

The leather stains looks like dog slobber, as mentioned.

Spot behind rear wheels looks like paint to me.

Those exhaust tips came out really well. Get used to cleaning those,...
  20. Re: Some show N' Shine. 911 Turbo, Yenko silverado, Ford Lightning, Jeep

These are the type of details I’d like to come my way in the future. Cool “gearhead” owned vehicles. Incredible work as always.

I must comment on the 911, those are lottery win vehicles for me. ...

Re: Shiny black plastic around door windows

I have had good luck with HD Speed on a Meguiar's polishing pad on my MIL's Audi. I also had good luck with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound with a Meguiar's polishing pad on my wife's Ford Flex. I went...

    Re: My new ride...

Sweet 5.0! That would be a top 2 color for me. I'd have to flip a coin between that and lightning blue. Any plans for tint?

Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

What I like about pic 2, other than the paint surface gloss levels, is the rear passenger wheel barrel showing through with how CLEAN it is. :xyxthumbs:

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

  25. Re: Are there any foods that you don't like or care for?

I really dislike spaghetti. Also, olives of any kind, especially the green ones.
